MagikKnickParticipantWhat would the Warriors get in that deal? I think CJ Watson is a pretty good backup.
I like Matt Barnes, hes a tough guy that doesnt back to no one, his little Kobe-feud was entertaining, I was hoping he would sign with a legit championship contender…

ZeroParticipantLike this signing for the Raptors. Adds toughness and defense to the team which are both much needed.

PlatypusParticipantToronto needs to dump Calderons contract for an expiring one asap

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantGolden State is getting back a 2nd round pick for Watson.
I think it’s a great move.

OrangeBallParticipantGreat pick up for the raptors especially if the nuggets match the offer for klieza( sorry i dont know whether they have or not) as for calderon Symbol id rather see them trade him for a defensive rebounding big to play along side bargnani, thats what they have really been missing in the bosh era of basketball and thats what the raptors need to finally get out of the basement of interior defense

ChiefSixOneParticipanthows watson playstyle? i never really seen him play

sheltwon3ParticipantCJ Watson can score

PlatypusParticipantCalderon and Evans for Eric Dampier and swap picks option for Tor

mini_marzParticipantwatson fit the GS style perfectly, he is a good scorer and can pass a bit… he is a combo guard… will come off the bench very nicely for the bulls… good pick-up
and for the raptors barnes was a good pick-up and is something that we needed defence and toughness, with a decent 3point shot… but our wings are kinda crowded now if u look at it…
weems, derozen, barbosa, kleiza, barnes – seems like there will maybe be an odd man who doesn’t play much… and in my opinion and i think that we have to start barnes for the toughness and defence factor…. but how everyone gets their minutes from triano will be key… guessing that he will go with matchups can it looks like for the first time in a long time we finally got some wings who can all play lol FINALLY

GrandfiNalley101ParticipantC.J. can play, a very good reserve scorer/slasher who can hit the 3. A nice pickup. The Bulls have improved. I love the Raptors athleticism and I love Barnes style with them. They really like Ed Davis and are really high on Amir Johnson at PF, Bargnarni is a scorer. They also have Reggie Evans and possibly Joey Dorsey to do dirty work next to him. I don’t think they are done making moves this offseason.

OrangeBallParticipantthe one thing with the raptors roster that im noticing is that we really only have 3 bigs that seem to be in line for a permament rotation positon and with the players bc is bringing in with klieza and barnes guys that have played the 4 in small ball systems i could quite possibly see us moving to a really up tempo style and were still going to be horrible defensively

Toronto16ParticipantWhy are the Raptors doing this? This is going to take away minutes from Sonny Weems now, we have a glut of SF’s!! What the heck is Colangelo doing????

ChrischiParticipantBarnes had such a nice season for Orlando, but he changes his team again. That’s just weird-

OllstarParticipantI guess now the Raptors don’t have to slow down for Bosh so we’re going for the stretch 4’s like you said. Bargnani won’t demand the team to slow down for him he’ll just jack up shots as a trailer 3. Should leave alot of room for DeMar and Weems to get in the lane. Again I don’t see the Raptors being a good rebounding team but we should be better on D. Right not it’s about winning regular season games so this style can do that. No chance to win a playoff series.

Toronto16ParticipantRumor has it that its a S&T. Calderon and draft pick and trade exemption for Gortat and Barnes.

OhCanada-ParticipantDespite how good you guys think Sonny Weems and Amir Johnson are Barnes and Gortat are very solid players and will fit in tremendously with this team. Sign Bobby Brown slide Barbosa at 1 and give Sonny extended minutes off the bench at 2.
PG-Jack, Barbosa, Brown
SG-Derozan, Weems
SF-Barnes, Klieza
PF-Bargnani, Davis
C-Gortat, Johnson, AlabiRotation
Jack 35MPG, Barbosa 13MPG
Derozan 30MPG,Weems23MPG,
Barnes20MPG, Klieza 20MPG,
Bargnani 32MPG, Davis 16MPG
Gortat 24MPG, Johnson 24MPGToronto definitely improved this year if these deals are made.We still have a scoring PF and now have 2 more physical rebounding bigs and one is a true Center, we have 2 emerging talented wings, 2 great role players at the 3 position who are drooled upon around the leagues GMs Klieza and Barnes (good trade bait if something goes wrong), a good managing PG with excellent leadership skills (far superior to the weak Bosh IMO), a player looking to excel and become a legit starter “Johnson” and a player who cna light it up from the gaurd spot Barbosa.
This team has alot of potential and would be a dream if they actaully came together, IMO this team is 7th or 8th seed.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantits good for toronto but I think he would be a huge asset on a contender.
