Me and a friend of mine got into a argument the other day which made me want to post this. He tol dme Chris Paul is the best point guard suited for the triangle offense. He doesnt know basketball any and this is sumtimes why i hate when people try 2 argue ball with me. He, like many other people out there, try to argue name value instead of who fits where. If u take a good luck at most if not all of the point guards phil has had when he runs his triangle O u would realize that Phil utilizes shoooters at his point guard spots and not ball dominating point guard like Paul or Dwill. I love those guys but i know better than to have Ok shooting point guards playing in a triangle offense (dwill is a good shooter by the way.) Much like the same argument of amare and melo teaming up. Ive said for a while before th etrade that i didnt think melo was the best option to be teaming with amare in new york to play in Mike dantoni’s style offense. Not saying they arent great players but u have to look at the style of play these guys have. Melo is also a ball dominator and he works against dantoni’s system more than he works for it. Not that things cant change but just saying You cant just throw people on to teams and expect it to work.

people now a says think that if you put more then one superstar together, you will every single game. It doesn’t work like that. First they have to let go of thier ego and do whats best for thier team adn also they have to make they fit the playing style as you mentioned melo and amare in ny. lebron, wade, and bosh proved you can’t assume you will be the best team you need good role players too(they had to adjust thier game alot).

One of my friends actually said he thinks jimmer will lead the nba in scoring by his 2nd year in the league. He’d be lucky to start his 2nd year considering you have to play defense unless you play for the knicks(hmmm…maybe thats why jimmers brother wants him goin there)

While I was out one day, I heard some guy say that John Wall is overrated… He also said that he should be playing much better since he’s played ALL games during the season, and he looks lost out on the court. All I could do was smh.

     To the Orginal Poster Iknoball12,

This is why i hate you kids on here.  You are all between the ages of 13-21 and think because you have watched basketball for 5 years you know everything.  Let me just make a list of how retarded you sound.  I figure it would be alot easier to read for a ignorant person like yourself.

    1. The way you talk puts you in that age group 13-21 thus i dont care if you have watched basketball for every second of your life.  You dont know enough to brag about knowing about basketball.

    2. Since you’re going to agrue the first one let me first point out.  You never watched Michael Jordan come up ( you watched espn classic), you never seen Dr.J, Bill Russell etc. etc.

3.We can argue the first two after i destroy you for your stupidity in saying Chris Paul cant play in the triangle.  He would be a prime person to play that postion.

    Career: 48% FG Career: 37% 3FG This season 40% 3FG.

    4.  So not only can he shoot but he insanely quick, but relieves stress off kobe to create something when a play falls through.

    5.  Chris Paul dominates the ball? Maybe your too young to remember the 06 Worlds in Japan?  Were Chris Paul correct me if im wrong had 46 assist to 2 turnovers or some insane number like that.  Playing along side, Kobe, Lebron, wade dwight.

    6. So im going to ask you children to be quiet you dont know anything nor should you ever brag how much you know until your about 40 and seen most of it.

See I’m only 19 and I know something about ball but I don’t know everything like this kid says he does. Tim, you’re right. Grow up watching the best in the game, including the player who is the best player to have ever played the game. This generation has a unique opportunity to watch as the flow of the game and the style of the game is shifting. There are no more Larry Birds, no more Wilkins (if anyone counts Damien I swear to god..), what’s happening to the game is a complete evolution of how the game is played. And the kid’s in this generation watching it, that is all they know. They never witnessed the triangle offense. The Wolves have it……… But they suck and shouldn’t be watched or envied for that offense.

But I’d really have to say you’re wrong. CP3 is perfect for that offense. Sure, he’s not the best shooter, but he can definitely flourish in that offense. Luke Ridnour is getting serious pt in Minny because he plays the triangle a hundred times better than Flynn who is a pick and roll guy.

Seriously, don’t come in saying you know everything there is to know about basketball. Because unless if you’re Kobe, LeBron, or Phil Jackson, you don’t know half of what’s going on in the game at any given time.

I’m 31.  That’s old enough to no longer call people "retarded" on the internet.

Minny doesn’t really run the triangle much. They try but they never seem to be able to get it right

let me start by sayin im 22 and get that out the way. Now Tim and the other 19 yr old who is most likey his son or sum other lame: NOWHERE DID I SAY I KNEW EVERYTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL. Nowhere did i say anything about chris paul not being good. Also u wanna bring up how chris paul is a such a great career 3 point shooter. well guess what: HE DOESNT TAKE THAT MANY! most of his shots are floaters layups or mid range jumpers. he doesnt look to take that 3 unless he is wide ass open or unless he has too. And are u seriously gonna sit here and tell me he doesnt dominate the ball with HIS team the hornets? i though tu would shutup. and Of course he isnt going to dominate the ball in a tournament with many countries, hes playing with the best players in the world who all have egos. another thing about him playing with other stars and the 06 worlds. The US was supremely talented and got out on the break almost half of their possessions. and of course hes gonna get assists from all those guys they are the best players on earth. But if u pay close attention to the triangle u know that they pride that offense on a great scoring guard(kobe in this case) and big men who can pass(pau, odom). For a 40 year old man u really took this topic to heart and i can see while u were typing your post u probably thought u were really gonna shut me up. well u didnt. Plus dont u have a job what 40 year old has time to come on a website and talk to a group of " 13 to 21 year olds all day". Grow up bro. go have sum kids or sumthin.

People on youtube are extremely funny. If you watch a video of someone doing a highlight dunk people write comments like: Future All-Star and those comments get like 30 thumbs up.

I remember a video of DeRozan and Sonny Weems dunking and someone wrote:  They will lead the Raptors back to the playoffs. And got something like 35 thumbs up.

You’re right. You didn’t say you knew everything about basketball. But you sure as hell came across as an arrogant ass hole who apparently has a temper when someone disagrees with your opinion. I stated my opinion, you stated yours. No need to start yelling at people and telling a 40 year old guy to go have a kid? Lets just calm down, no need to freak out about who knows the most about basketball.
