For the decency of all mankind, could you guys add a spot specifically for Trade Ideas – you know, the posts that we see 5-7 times per week, and almost all of which receive generally horrendous reviews?

Thank you for your consideration – I can’t imagine I’m alone on this topic…

Yes most of them are dumb, but it is fun to play general manager. 99.9% of all the trades posted on here have no chance of happening, but its just posters sharing their own opinion of what makes sense to them. I like NBAdraft just the way it is.

The problem isn’t with people playing GM…It’s how often trade ideas are posted…

isn’t with the trade ideas themselves, but rather the headings that the posters give them such as: "Blockbuster trade".  Which leads fellow posters to believe that an actual transaction has occurred, only to find out that it is some insanely one sided hypothetical trade idea, usually in favor of the posters home team.

Easy solution to your problem, don’t read the thread.  Most of the trades suggested are ridiculous though…

That’s not a good solution. Ultimately, nbadraft.net should have the various forums all visible on the home screen. People flood the nbadraft forum because they want to be sure that their opinions are seen by the .net community. (Which is a good reason, I am one of these people).

But by doing so, the forum becomes one big mass of posts. And as TaylorCondrin points out, it is frustrating when ridiculous posts drown out the thoughtful ones.

I know it’s probably really hard to do. But the admins of this site should plan to have the NBA, nbadraft, NCAA, Off-topic and Euro forums all visible on the home page in adjacent columns. I think that would make trade-idea posts less oppressive while upgrading hoop talk.

that the trades have no chance of happening is why no one wants to see them.
