McDunkinBefore the NBA drafted started, the electric Aquille Carr posted a picture of a NBA Spalding basketball on Facebook and wrote,
“Just want all of my family, friends, and fans to know that no matter what happens the grind never stops. Praying for a phone call tonight and if that doesn’t happen it doesn’t mean anything is over. I’m 20 years old and got a life to live.”
The 5’6 Carr who showed flashes of brilliance during his time in the NBA D-League last season, didn’t get that call but according to Realgm.com, he did a call from the Saint John Mill Rats of Canada and is in the process of a finalizing a deal to play in the CNBL.
Carr’s deal with the Saint John Mill Rats holds an escape clause should the 20-year-old become drafted in next season’s D-League draft, a source said.
Everybody at Ballislife is wishing the best for the former Ballislife All-American.
Check out this video to meet a few of his future teammates.
Sorry but that video reminded me of this one.

ahuang16ParticipantAs a small basketball player myself, I felt inspired. Never came even close to a quarter of success in high school but still disappointed that a team isn’t willing to give him a shot. He is still twenty and I wish him good luck as he continues his career.

imAboutDatActionParticipantAt his size, he should’ve went to college if he really wanted a legit shot at the NBA.
Word is he needed the money due to his daughter and family. I can understand that, but at his size, you need to put in years in college proving to scouts your size is not a fatal flaw and you have skills that can transfer over to the NBA.
No NBA team will come calling and he honestly should’ve expected this when he choose the overseas route. Hopefully he makes a good living play basketball around the world.
