That Krause just took the blame. Jordan needed to leave. All the attention was driving him insane. The guy had a 10 year straight run where he got rushed by mobs everytime he left a room. The whole firing Phil Jackson/Jordan would only play for Jackson thing was to keep MJ’s reputation intact. Any possibility to this?

Sure there is. I mean, he already proved he was willing to walk away from the game in his prime.

I don’t think he needed to make playing for Phil the issue to preserve his reputation, though. After the ’98 title, His reputation was that he was the GOAT, end of story. Maybe that was the one thing that really would have made him consider playing another year.

100% not. Jordan is the ultimate competitor- he left the first time because of his father and feeling warn out mentally. He wouldn’t want to leave knowing he is close to the end this time- until he is beaten. The bulls blew up because the owner was too cheap to pay pippen and the rest of the supporting cast. Jackson didn’t want to coach a rebuilding team, and Jordan didn’t want to play on one, or without phil and pippen.
