    According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal Memphis 6’10 jr. center Angel Garcia will Sign with a team in Spain after the Semester..Garcia says he recieved an Offer he couldn’t refuse..Garcia was a highly touted recruit from Puerto Rico was declared inelgible his freshman year ,but came back the following year and tearing his ACL and missed the first 22 games of that season..Many expected Garcia’s inside /outside game to be a huge part of the Tigers success..But so far this season he hasnt fit in at all..Garcia often seem to play like he had no knowledge of the Tigers offense ,ignore play/calls and tossed up ill advised shots..

    Garcia the 2nd member of the 2010-2011 team to leave the Tigers..Freshman guard Jelan Kendrick left the team last month…

    He was an underachiever for Memphis. He has nice shooting/scoring tools, but he was so weak when he 1st got to Memphis that he struggled early before ineligibility, then injury hit him as a Soph., then as you said he struggled with the mental part of the game. His time at Memphis was filled with disappointment and it was best he moved on.

    He was a huge disappointment. He was a gunner and played stupid. Not to mention he was like terrified of the post. The only thing I’ll miss about him is his height.

    i still think he has alot of talent..but at memphis he look so out of place…

    not many players leave for europe in the middle of the season..i think the last 1 was the kid from florida a few years ago…
