llperezAndrew Andrews needs to start getting more talk. He currently is not listed on either this sites or the other ones 2016 mock drafts. Andrews is a senior combo gaurd at 6-2 but should be able to transition to pg at the next level if he makes it there.
His stats so far this year 21.1ppg…6.3rpg…4.1apg
To start conference play, he has the huskies at 3-0 with close down to the wire wins over ucla in double ot, a 2 point win over usc then another ot win this weekend over wazzu. In those 3 games, andrews has avereged 29.3ppg…7.3rpg…4.7apg
He’s hitting 41% of his threes and has a strong body at 200lbs and likes to drive and draw contact where he is averaging 10 ft attempts per game on the season and hitting 83% of them.
Its normal that people dont get too excited about seniors figuring their potential is limited, but having watched him for 4 years now i have seen solid improvement each year and theres no reason to think he isnt still gettting better.
here are his averages over the course of his career:
freshman: 8ppg…3rpg…2apg…27%3pt
sophomore: 12ppg…4rpg…3apg…28%3pt
jumior: 15ppg…4rpg…2apg…38%3pt
senior: 21ppg…6rpg…4apg…41%3pt
I think Andrews is the odds on favorite to win pac 12 poy with Gary payton jr as the nearest runner up. Payton is on mocks for the upcoming draft and i like him a lot as well but i would give andrews the slight edge at this point for best player in pac 12 and as the better nba prospect between the two of them. although its really close. Payton is putting up 17ppg…8rpg…5apg and is the better defender of the two while also being a more natural pg while andrews is more of a scorer.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI don’t see him as much more than a shooter at the next level, I see a lot of Randy Foye in his game. I like Payton better as a prospect due to his all around game and his defensive tenacity, but I don’t think either are going to be going much higher than late first round.
