“And with the sixth pick of the 2015 NBA draft, the Sacramento Kings select, Willie Cauley-Stein from the University of Kentucky.”

The Nuggets are now on the clock.

    Draft order so far
    1.Timberwolves: Karl-Anthony Towns

    3.76ers: D’Angelo Russell
    4.Knicks: Emmanuel Mudiay
    5.Magic: Kristaps Porzingis
    6.Kings: Willie Cauley-Stein

Here are the results of the pick:
    Willie Cauley-Stein-13
    Winslow-9
    Turner-3

I dont believe winslow or hezonja will both still be available in the actual draft, but since they are both available here…I’m torn . one of the two is defininetly getting drafted at this spot if not before.

I will go with Hezonja as Denver is never afraid to take the intl prospect esp the one who is good enough to become a superstar in this league… winslow could be an allstar over time and might be a little less of a risk, but he doesnt project as an elite player, hezonja does and despite his cocky attitude getting him less playing time in euro play, denver will let him soar

I think this is a very tough call between Winslow and Hezonja with Stanley Johnson slightly below them. I think the top notch defense Winslow will bring is the reason the Nuggets go with him over Hezonja.

I honestly like Winslow as a player, I believe that he has good 2 way potential similar to a Wesely Matthews impact in prime. But the Nuggets have been the team without a superstar since the Melo trade so they lacked firepower in the playoffs. That’s why if I am in charge of the Nuggets pick I am selecting Mario Hezonja he has big time potential and I believe the Nuggets are in a position to take a gamble for a potential superstar type player.

I’d have to go with Henzonja as he is a bit riskier but could end being the higher reward. He has more superstar potential, so might as well swing for the fences if you’re the nuggets as you need something to get you out of mediocrity. Plus, they have some solid international guys on their team that could help his development.

Him and Winslow are going to be the next 2 players off the board. I go back & forth almost daily on which one will go first. I feel with the position Denver is in, they’re looking for the home run and Hezonja has arguably the most potential star power in this draft.  They already have a nice international flavor going on and his brash personality and supreme confidence would probably be a welcomed addition. The coaching search is said to be down to Hunt & D’Antoni, if it’s the latter I’m almost certain Mario will be the pick.

As long as the Nuggets consider Galinari a big part of their plan the last thing they want is a SF (Winslow). That’s why I think they opt in this situation for Hezonja.

He’s not though. Why would you think Gallinari has a major steak on the team’s future? I’d argue even before the injury, he shouldn’t have had a major steak on the team’s future. I’m fine with either one with Hezonja and Winslow but I’ll side with Winslow since he’s the better perimeter defender out of the two so he could help out Lawson and it means that the Harris pick last year isn’t wasted because Winslow can play the small forward better than Hezonja since he’s stronger and more athletic.

One of the guys in the Denver Front Office told me, the Nuggets think Justice Winslow is one of the safest picks in the draft.. Also hinting they would take him if available also Hezonja is on their radar..

I’m almost tempted to pick Hezonja just to make the final outcome more "mysterious".

However, that would be awfully irresponsible of me (in my role as Nuggets’ GM).

    So, Justise Winslow.

I like the fit better, and I’m really close on these two. I do think if this happens that Winslow will take it a lot like Paul Pierce did when he slid and use it to motivate himself…and have himself one hell of a career. The Pistons would be pinching themselves if it actually played out like that. Looks like Winslow is winning the ballot here so far though.

     Myles Turner.

Although I think the votes will probably get Winslow through as the pick.

Turner and Gallinari next to Nurkic up front, that would give them something to build around.

Nothing wrong with Winslow, they can use him and Gallinari at both forward spots sometimes, and also go bigger with Winslow at shooting guard and Gallinari at small forward.

Picking Winslow would mean Gary Harris wouldn’t get big minutes yet, but he should probably be developed for a guard option off the bench anyway.

    Justice Winslow

Nuggets are in a really good position at this pick, even tho it’s not the highest pick. After trading Affaflo and Galinari dealing with injuries it seems it’s obvious they need help on the wing. Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow fit the bill just right. Both versatile guys that can play the 2 and 3. Athletic guys that rebound, play defense and good passers that would help the Nuggets out on the perimeter a lot.  My game here tho has to be Justice for what he did at Duke and winning a championship.

i think winslow is neck and neck with russel as a prospect, especially if youre a fan of two way players and upside on both ends of the court, but im buying the whole "denver likes mike d’antoni to be their next coach" rumors and he would definitely prefer hezonja over winslow.

The Nuggets though have to think about taking Frank Kaminsky as a big man with range who can score, shoot, rebound, and space the floor.

Nuggets weep tears of joy as they pick Justice Winslow with the 7th pick in the draft. This is the same scenerio to the Lakers picking 7th last year in that they got arguably one of the top 4 talents on their team because the teams in front of them drafted need and potential.
