    From RealGm:

After winning just 15 games in Minnesota last season, Al Jefferson is excited about his recent trade to Utah.

“They have a nice group of guys, but will have a couple more losing seasons,” Jefferson said of the Timberwolves.

“Minneapolis is my home away from home. I respect the fans that have supported me through the good and the bad … but when I told people I played for Minnesota, some people didn’t even know they had a team. Everybody knows about Utah. Everyone knows the Utah Jazz.

“I go from being in a Toyota to a Bentley. It’s a beautiful thing.”

The Jazz acquired Jefferson from the Timberwolves for two first-round picks and young center Kosta Koufos.

Utah needed to make a move after losing Carlos Boozer to Chicago in free agency.

I think this could be Utah’s version of the Lakers-Grizzlies Pau Gasol trade…

Jefferson is a much better defensive player than Boozer, who is an helluva player. Jefferson is younger, has a lot of upside and could become an upgrade to Boozer in the years to come.

Big Al finally got his luck to get away from Kahn.

The Jazz should be better than last year. Jefferson is an upgrade over Boozer when he’s healthy.

I am so happy that Jefferson is a part of the Jazz, as well as Bell. These two will help out so much, in developing other young players like Miles, and Hayward as well as send the Jazz to new heights. Jefferson will be an allstar this year, Dwill will start on the allstar team, Miles will be either 6th man of the year or MIP all thanks to Bell, and Utah will get to the Conference Championships, and then lose in 6 or 7 games. A very productive offseason means a very productive season.

Sorry Wolves fans but I don’t think you will get anything out of this trade as long David Kahn is your GM. You just made a trade to get two worthless PGs and you gave up too much. What is David Kahn thinking? (For those who do not know what I am talking about, it is the trade that involves the Cavs and the Wolves. Sessions, Hollins and a 2nd round draft pick for Delonte West , and Telfair)

They didn’t trade Sessions for West and Telfair, they traded Sessions for West’s and Telfair’s contracts, both will be waived to get even further under the cap. Why? IDK, Glen Taylor lost almost $20M on the club last year.

It’s a good move but he doesn’t fit Utah’s offense. He will need to develop the ability to play the pick and roll. Both he and Milsap were like in the lower tier of players who got points in the pick and roll plays. I think he will be a 23-12 guy but I don’t know if he’s going to make Utah a whole lot better.
