mikeyvthedonParticipantMan, I really thought Oregon had a chance :(. Well, nice new commit for the Wildcats along with Rondae Jefferson.
Aaron Gordon will play his college basketball at Arizona.

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantI had a feeling he was going to go there. Now everybody is waiting to see what Wiggins is going to do

Sewok15ParticipantJefferson’s passing mixed with Gordons finishing makes Arizona scary next year. I know they lose Lyons, Hill and Parrom but I fully expect this team to win the Pac-12 next year. Nick Johnson should have a really good year and wants to make a case for the NBA scouts. Ashley and Jarrett are versitile big guys and Tarczewski should make a big jump forward as well. If Gabe York steps up as a second back court scorer this team has Final 4 potential for sure. Sean Miller has been doing one of the best coaching jobs in the NCAA now the past few years.

Parrom, Tu Holoway, Kenny Freeze, Lyons, and many others were all recruited by him and original Xavier signees.

DolanCareParticipantHUGE SIGNING FOR ARIZONA. They are going to hurt people next season. Besides having great athletes, they have so much size.

goldie92689ParticipantThat will be an awesome frontline. Next season is going to be awesome!!!
1. Kentucky 2. Syracuse 3. Arizona 4. Indiana 5.Louisville 6.Duke ?????0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 7:53am #759613

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantKnew he’d end up there. Just seems like he wouldn’t go anywhere in the East-coast.
Either saw him in ‘Zona or Washington.

Chilbert arenasParticipantThat front court is stacked!! Sean Miller is going to have his hands full with playing time. Ronde Jefferson is a small forward, but Gordon is a 4, and Ashley Jarret and Zews all play 4/5. I don’t know where Miller is going to find time for 5 all-american front court players but it’s a good problem to have. This most likely means Chol will transfer which is a shame because he really came on at the end of last season. Their guards are really going to have to step up.
0- Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 8:16am #759618

Sewok15ParticipantGabe York will have a big opportunity to step up but if he doesn’t play well they aren’t in a ton of trouble. The reason being is that Jefferson is more of a point forward. He can’t shoot well but he can pass and handle the ball as well as anybody his size in the nation. I don’t know how much Miller will trust him to play on the ball and run the offense right away but if they want to succeed down the road the sooner the better.
Only positive things could come from playing Rondae as your primary ball handler. It would allow Johnson to play off the ball which suits him best. It would allow York to play as a scorer and shooter which is where he excels. You would open up minutes for Gordon, Jarrett, and Ashley. It would make you much better defensively since Jefferson can guard multiple positions as well.
Watching Rondae Jefferson play the last couple years he reminds me of a 6-6 Rajon Rondo. I think he could be one of the most underrated players in this class and with a couple years of working at his jumpshot he could be a star.

ph90702Kentucky should NOT start the year in the top 25. Essentially their whole team will be new next year. If they prove they’re top 25 worthy, then fine. People act so confidently that they’ll be so much better next year. Maybe they will, but prove it first.
0- Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 8:05am #759615

Sewok15ParticipantThey are completely worthy of a top 5 ranking to start the season. Even if nobody came back their recruiting class this year is way better than last year. Since Wiltjer (who I am not sure why but he had to “announce” his return) and WCS are coming back they will have some leadership in place.
Then you add on Julius Randle, James Young, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Dakari Johnson, and Marcus Lee. Even if they start 4 freshmen they are a top 5 preseason team without a doubt….if somehow they get Wiggins as well they are numero uno.

ph90702You don’t know that this class will be better. What’s laughable is how people complain about last year’s class. THEY WERE THE #1 RATED CLASS!!!
0- Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 10:22am #759639

Sewok15ParticipantThey were rated #1 but it was a very weak year. I would say the top 7 prospects from this year would all have been rated #1 is last years class. I guarantee this group of players is much more talented than last years…everybody who pays attention knows that.

HobbyOGParticipantto PH123 or whatever your name is, you sound like a hater. UCLA had the #1 class last year. And EVERYONE said that last year class was one of the worst classes coming in, in decades. No stars in last year class and that’s why this draft will suck. Even coach Cali said in the beginning of the season they shouldn’t of been ranked. Get your facts right.

SiggyParticipantHe should’ve went to Oregon. I think him choosing ‘Zona pushes him back to 2015.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 11:26am #759656
NYFinest12ParticipantI would of loved to see him so to Oregon to play with Dominic Artis and Damyean Dotson that would of been a nice nucleus to build around for Oregon

Leonard WashingtonParticipantAG straight knighted that guy…I think they were playing Lone Peak in that clip if I’m not mistaken.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 12:45pm #759679

i’m jus so offendedParticipantIf you only have Andrew Harrison and Julius Randle on your team with a mediocre supporting class, you’ll be top 25, maybe top 10. Instead, UK has those two and a s*** ton of other talent. Get real dude

SF/PFDerek Willis is rated a 75 on ESPN right now and was a major steal away from Louisville(they had him as one of there top targets) and then Jordan Majors who decided to enroll and POTENTIALLY walk-on instead of going to Wright State on full scholarship.
They also are close to having PG Dominique Hawkins, Mr.Kentucky 2012, walk-on and turn down a offer from Louisville, he qualified to get an academic scholarship to any school in the state.
If Wiggins and PG Aquille Carr(replace Harrow?) come they may be better then the Cavs, Raptors, Bobcats, and Suns!
But to go with the topic, everyone knew Gordon was staying out west.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah AG!! Great fit for him.. Go Zona tho
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 6:01pm #759789

Ghost01ParticipantI’d say Kentucky, Duke and Louisville are the 3 best teams for next year.
Syracuse is losing their backcourt, Louisville is losing Siva, and probably Smith and Dieng, and Indiana may be losing its 2 best players. Not sure how they would be in the top 5 based on that speculation. And if we are giving Kentucky No.1, I am fine with it, but then we should address Duke as if Parker is going to be a star since he is better than any incoming freshman on Kentucky.
0- Posted on: Tue, 04/02/2013 - 6:00pm #759796

HaleParticipantI could argue Randle is just as good as Parker easily.
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 12:44pm #759999

Ghost01ParticipantDid Randle win 4 straight state titles? Dominate the game in every way, total team player who didn’t care about stats, just wins, played huge in the state playoffs every year and wasn’t denied?
Let me guess…Randle’s really athletic, and he can shoot? Or even better, lets here your argument….
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 1:45pm #760027

bball guyParticipantim a duke fan and i think this argument is wack
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 2:23pm #760047

Ghost01ParticipantWhat’s whack is the percentage of people who have only seen Randle on a mixtape, and act like they know his game inside out, and can project how good he can be. Let alone this batch of other UK freshmen.
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 2:37pm #760050

HaleParticipantNo, what’s whack is you using high school championships as an argument for why one great player is better then another. You’re better then that.
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 5:27pm #760133

Ghost01ParticipantI really don’t care what you think. You have provided no reasons at all as to why Randle is better. He has cool youtube Dunks?
And if you don’t think team accomplishments in H.S. mean anything, that’s fine. But as I’ve said, since grade school every year Parker has always been ranked ahead of Randle, no reason to think that is suddenly different.
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 5:26pm #760136

HaleParticipantI didn’t list any reasons because the reasoning you gave sucks. If that’s what you’re going to rely on high school championships to determine how good a player is there is absolutely no reason for me to waste my time debating it. If you want a serious debate that includes things that matter, I’m ready. And by the way Randle was listed as the #1 player in the class as recently as his sophomore year so you’re wrong again.

JoeJoParticipantParker could be better than any of Kentucky’s incoming freshman but Randle is right there with him; at any rate, the difference is small. Even if Parker is amazing and all that, I don’t think that’s too significant in the face of Kentucky perhaps being superior playrs 2-8 than Duke.
0- Posted on: Wed, 04/03/2013 - 12:48pm #760001

Ghost01ParticipantKentucky doesn’t have better players 2-8. You obviously take no value in experience what so ever. I get that some guys are easy to project, but what if some of these incoming freshmen UK has are like Poythress and WCS? Those guys were decent last year, but this was an NIT team. The same thing has happened to UNC a couple times recently where they were ranked in the pre-season top 5, and ended up unranked. I think Kentucky is going to be good next year. Very good. i think Randle is very good. But you can’t just assume they are going to be world beaters, and that they are going to be more talented at every spot against a team that has some decent role players returning, and a solid player transferring in.

goldie92689ParticipantCuse frontline is Fair, Christmas, Grant, Roberson, Coleman and Kiete.
Backcourt of Ennis, Gbinije and Cooney
Thats a top 5 team Bro, that frontline is very serious and could be argued have a better chemistry than AZ or UK.
You see how they play defense now. A slight drop next year because the guards are less experienced and Ennis will never be as good as MCW, but that front is a stalwart.

AwardedBallerParticipantIf you really don’t think Kentucky is #1 you’re a nutcase. They have maybe one of the greatest recruiting classes of all-time, in one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time. This team has about 4 potential NBA all-stars and could possibly add one of the best wing prospects since Kevin Durant in Andrew Wiggins. I understand how you can see this as “overrated” because of Kentucky’s performance this past year, but in all honesty their recruiting class wasn’t as good as billed and the 2012 class was just a weak class in it’s self hence the weak 2013 NBA draft.
