Memphis MadnessParticipantIt looks like Tyreke Evans is on the table and I would think that the Kings would want a good player for him.
If the Kings do trade Evans then I would think that they would need a point guard since I don’t think that Jimmer is
a long-term solution as a starting point guard.I would like to see a Tyreke Evans and JJ Hickson for Rajon Rondo trade. The Kings would get a top flight point guard who can defend, pass, and get Cousins and Thornton involved in the offense. Then, they can bring Jimmer off the bench for long range shooting. The Kings have Cousins, Hayes, Jason Thompson and others up front so they can afford to lose Hickson in order to get an upgrade at point guard.
The Kings would have a more balanced roster with Rondo being the passer/facilitator and Cousins being the inside scorer with Thornton and Salmons scoring from the wing. Jimmer is a three point threat off the bench, Isaiah Thomas is a perfect backup point guard, Garcia is a good glue guy at the 3, Jason Thompson is a versatile forward, with Chuck Hayes providing toughness, rebounding, and defense inside. Then you add a good lottery pick to those guys and you have a nice team in Sacramento.
The Celtics move Rondo to get a hybrid scoring guard who can drive, pass, handle the ball, and put up good scoring numbers. He also has good size to go against a guy like D. Wade and he is a guy you can build around for the future.
The Celtics need a good size wing player who can drive and create his own shot if they want to make one last run this year.
With Ray Allen being the shooter and Paul Pierce being a great mid-range player, 3 point threat, and closer, the Celtics would have a very good perimeter attack.Hickson gives the Celtics some youth and scoring up front. He’s a solid guy to build around as well as a solid bench scorer now. He would add depth up front along with KG, Brandon Bass, Jermaine O’Neal, and Greg Stiesma. He also played with LeBron in Cleveland so he should he understand LeBron’s game if they meet in the playoffs.
I think this trade shakes up the Celtics enough so they can make one last run with the Big Three as well as giving them a guy in Tyreke Evans that they can build around with Hickson along with Bass, Stiesma, and perhaps Jeff Green being pieces for the future.
This would be an interesting trade for both teams with the Kings getting the floor leader that they need and the Celtics getting a guy who can create his own shot and adds size to the backcourt.

BasketBalAllanParticipantIf the Kings were going to trade Tyreke this is the only way i would want it to go. Though I would love to try and unload Salmons in it as well.

rickyD510Participantrumor has it kings want to unload hickson so this trade really make sense… this may sound ridiculous but i think rondo can really lead the charge to get the best the out of the kings on both ends of the floor

orangeshadow83ParticipantYea the kings have a lot of people who can score…Cousins, Thorton, Jimmer, even Donte Green so I think Rondo would be a great fit with this team. Only problem is that there are a lot of headcases on this team. This tradee is also good for the Celtics because at this point Tyreke would be better for them to build around than Rondo. I feel like they have really strained the relationship with Rondo with all the trade talk

OhCanada-ParticipantEvans is nowhere near the player Rondo is. This offer is blasphemy. I would be outraged if I were Danny Ainge and got offered this.

boffacheeriosParticipantThe celts already tried to trade up for tyreke on draft night back in ’09. Can anyone guess who the bait was then? (if you guessed rondo, you’re on the money) Just to clarify, the offseason after the celtics made their big run they tried to trade a huge piece of that championship team for an unproven rookie, which obviously shows what Danny Ainge thinks of Tyreke Evans. This is precisely what us Kings fans have been waiting for. It’s our next generation Webber trade in my mind and should be a no brainer.

F_DA_POParticipantI don’t understand why people think Evans is as good as Rondo. You need more than Evans and Hickson for Rondo. Rajon Rondo is an all star type player…. Evans is way too inconsistent. I don’t think much of Hickson….

TravelinTravParticipantRondo is good but Tyreke and another player? No way, Has Tyreke already reached his celing? maybebut he’s a damn good baller. Rondo you can find in any draft, what is he the 10th best PG? Theres only 32 teams so he’s in the top 1/3. Not god enough I can think of 10 PG’s I would rather have then Rondo.

There are several things wrong with your post.
1. Tyreke is nowhere near his ceiling.
2. Rondo is not the 10th best PG, he’s easily top 4-6.
3. There are only 30 teams in the NBA, not 32.

KHAM83ParticipantEvans/Hickson for Jennings/Stephen Jackson
Good deal for both teams:
Bucks- With the way Udrih/Livingston is playing, I think they can move Jennings who isn’t committed to staying in Milwaukee. Udrih/Livingston aren’t great, but they can man the point while Milwaukee drafts a pg and develops him. Evans I believe can develop a jumper and will be a very good shooting guard. On this team full of defenders, theyll be better off having their go to scorer as their 2g instead of their pg. Kings also shopping Hickson….Bucks have the rest of the year to decide if he’s the PF theyve been wanted to pair with Bogut.
Kings- Isiah is doing much better than expected, but he isn’t the future at the point. Jennings/Cousins is a great pg/c combo to build around. Stephen Jax wants a trade from Milwaukee and can also man the 3 and has a deal that expires next year. If Sac still has their amnesty provision, maybe then amnesty Salmons??

FearTheStacheParticipantI’d be totally down for Rondo/JajuanJohnson/Pietrus for Evans/Hickson/Salmons/This Years 1st round pick
Celtics:They get a bigger version of Rondo, that Doc can mold into a real point guard. They also get a replacement for Pietrus, and a very good PF/C. Don’t forget the 1st rounder, which is sure to be lottery.
Kings: Get pure PG, replacement for Hickson, and better repacement for Salmons

QuickPostCParticipantMakes sense for both teams……..Celts get younger and move the moody Rondo……Rondo helps bring cohesiveness and easy baskets for Sac town’s Cousins and future lotto pick in this draft……not to mention he would get to still be the ‘man’.
An Evans/Bradley backcourt for the Celts is a great combination……Bradley can play off the ball on offense while Tyreke stays the ball dominant gaurd…..and Bradley can play lockdown D on the opposing team’s PG on D.
Tyreke on the Kings is not going to work…….and as stated above Jimmer is not the answer (now or in the future). Isiah Thomas is a GREAT bench player but not a starter in this league due to his size……instant offense and energy off the bench in the Barea/Nate Robinson mold…….not to mention the chemistry between Evans and Cousins is NEVER going to happen.

Jlv2012have no intentions of trading Tyreke. Just tough to assess Kings players when they change coaches every 5 minutes and Petrie making questionable management moves. I’m sure Smart will be working with Tyreke and Cousins in the offseason. Later.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantKings get:
Granger and Hansborough
Pacers get:
Evans, Hickson, Garcia

iguapops420ParticipantI actually like 8th’s idea. But I’d absolutely have to wait past playoffs just to see how good the Pacers really are. If they don’t do much more than last year, I’d have to think about it just for the simple fact of how good he/George/Hickson/Hibbert/ and Collison could gel and grow together.

KayjayParticipantToo, I would love to see a trade like that.
