L.ShapParticipantThat would be Tony Allen, he needs a scenery change. You would think Boston would be the perfect place for him, but he’s lost a lot of confidence.
Can anyone think of a place he could go. He’s a good slasher and defender, he just needs a trade to reboost his confidence for his jumpshot.0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 7:09am #217045
RUDEBOYHE can play GREAT DEFENSE AT TIMES…But he’s a bench guy..that can be a value to a team like PHOENIX THAT DOESN’T PLAY MUCH DEFENSE…

SlimParticipantHe was supposed to get sign and traded to the Pacers for Marquis Daniels

but that fell thru and now Celts got Daniels (6’6 point-forward)

llpereztony allen is a backup on any team in the league. He can defend and brings hustle, but his offense is not nba starter caliber. I’m not sure how you think he is gonna get a lot more mnutes and start for other teams when he can’t even pass Eddie House on the depth charts.

SlimParticipantUR right about Allen
He was so open from mid-range vs CHI in the playoffs
it wasn’t even funny
2 of my 4 roomates in college last year were from Boston
Tony Allen got cussed out every time he even came close to touching the rock
pure comedy LOL0

llperezyeah, I mean there is always spots for tough minded defensive players. But when you are a guard and teams can litterly just walk away from you and dare you to shoot, it hurts the whole team. Hard to get PT like that.

sheltwon3ParticipantThat year before they got Garnett and he was healthy, he put up some solid numbers. I think he needs a change of a scencery. Rigth now all i can see him as is a back up because most teams right now, have a solid 2 guard staring.
Cleveland(Anthony Parker is a better shooter but older)
Charlotte(just signed Ron Murray, and have Henderson a rookie ready to do some things)
New Jersey(Courtney is better shooter to me and will hopefully show that he deserves to be a starting 2 guard)
New York(They have Larry Hughes another athletic none shooter and other parts)I looked at the teams that could use Allen as a starter and it does not look good but, he would do better getting off the bench for one these things are some other teams that could use bench help at the 2 and 3

L.ShapParticipantI never said he was starting material, I just think for him to be an effective player he needs a scenery change, would Houston be out of the question?

JNixonParticipantI like his game, he is like a Ronnie Brewer in that he’s a good looking athlete with a broke shot, but he has the abilty to run the point from time to time if he gets the chance. He’s a good ball-handler and passer if you watch him. He should get some run with a team as a stopper/psuedo PG, he’s a talented guy but his jumper holds him back.

DoubleNickelsDurr55ParticipantTrade him to the OKC Thunder for Shaun Livingston. The only reason I say that is because I would love to see Livingston in a C’s jersey and also, Allen played for OK state. I know the Thunder prob. dont need him but hey, I like that trade.
The Toronto Raptors could use him as well…trade him for a pick maybe? I dont know the numbers but it would be good.
