llperezHonestly, I think you can count the number of guys from the 60’s who make an nba roster today on one hand. It’s just a way different game.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantOscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy (stretch), Walt Bellamy and Lenny Wilkins. In my opinion, these are the only guys from the 50’s and 60’s that would make an NBA roster today.

llperezI can understand wilt and Russell. oscar would have trouble since he had an ugly jumper and his size and athleticism wouldn’t be anything too special today. I don’t know enough about Wilkins or Bellamy. But no way does Cousy make it. You honaestly cant think a guy who shot in the 30’s % and had no D would hang agianst the Derrick Roses and Devin Harris’s do you?

Henry25Participanti think all those guys would make the league today because they would be up to speed on the way the league is played now. Great players are great for a reason. All those guys had the talent to be great in today’s league, but the league was different back then

MkadozaParticipantI’m with you henry. All these players would have adjusted their games but Big O, Russell, Wilt, and Elgin Baylor(!!!) would have done serious work.

Chicago1980ParticipantI believe quite a few wouldnt have made it today just because most of these kids start playing so early and they think of basketball as a career back then it was a job for fun most of the players had regular jobs in the offseason and the players today are bigger and faster than ever.
