Lotto StudParticipantI don’t think I’ve ever made a thread headlining the Heat, but I would to see what you all think about a post from someone I know, thoughts on what the organization should do without LeBron.
“I honestly believe that Miami is better off letting Lebron go because they will have about 30 million left after resigning Wade, Bosh, and Haslem and they could build a QUALITY team with that money and still be in a position to win in the Eastern Conference! You can attract some really good players to Miami with the weather and no state taxes so let Lebron walk and move on without him…..just my opinion…” – ?

Dwyane Wade obviously has seen better days and while Chris Bosh could take on more of a scoring load, lord knows who fills in positions 1-3-5 effectively. Unless you have an actual game plan, I think saying that a team would be better off without the best player in the league seems to be a pretty damn risky statement. So ?, I think you really didn’t think this through.
Now, as far as LeBron actually leaving, still would not bank on it. I think the odds are totally in favor of his coming back at this point. Until he starts meeting with teams instead of Rich Paul, than maybe speculate he is leaving. Right now, guessing he is taking his time to see what the Heat do to fill out the roster before committing himself. All of the other choices have issues as well, not like they have rosters tailor made to just add him and be as successful as Miami has.
They know each other at this point and even if Wade/Bosh are not their former selves, they are still amongst the best in the league at their positions. Love when people think they can "build a team" without a star player (much less, LeBron freaking James) and think it turns out better than before. Especially in terms of winning a title. The Pistons are the last team to win without a huge "star", with them still having 4 All-Star level players, size, a deep bench and more youth than you are likely to get out of the unrestricted free agents available. Not saying that this is not a possibility, just an incredibly slim one with next to no real precedent as far as recent memory.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI have to completely disagree with you. I would much rather let a past his prime Wade and a jump-shooting Bosh walk and keep Lebron. Actually, I think this is a no-brainer. Lebron is still in his prime. Do Wade and Bosh make their teammates better like Lebron??? Not even close. Bosh and Wade are way more expendable than James who is still the best player in the game.
