ZachAttackParticipantAlright everyone, I asked who would be interested and got a couple people saying they would be. So, due to not really popular demand, simply me just wanting to do this again. I am hosting the 4th annual nbadraft.net User Mock Draft!
It will take place on May 30, the day before the NBA Finals start and it will start at 9:00 ET. Per the usual, teams will get 5 minutes per pick with the #1 overall pick, the Phoenix Suns GM, starting the clock at 9:00 sharp. GM’s will reply with their pick on a universal mock draft thread and I will create a google doc that will be open to the public that will be used to see who picked who.
It will be a full 2 round draft. Trades will be allowed but must be approved by the commissioner (me). Final results will be either posted the next day, or later that night depending on how late it goes. The draft will then be posted as a mock draft in the nbadraft.net mock draft contest and we’ll see where it places. Anyone interested must be able to be present at the draft at 9:00 ET or they will be kicked out and their team will be placed on autopick using the ESPN top 100. Team need will not be considered in pick, simply BPA. So, if you don’t want your team to have a terrible draft, be present and be on time.
Teams will be given on a first come first serve basis. So get your name with team choice while you can.
Let’s have some fun! If you have any questions, let me know below!

MorseWillParticipantLooks like a fun thing to be a part of… I’d love to be in the position of the Sixers GM. I am excited about their draft leverage with 6 picks this year. I would anticipate a couple of moves as they can’t realistically roster another 6 players… Would really like to see this fill up with enthusiastic GM’s and make this a fun event the night before. Thanks for putting this on again!
0- Posted on: Tue, 05/15/2018 - 6:18pm #1116910

ZachAttackParticipantThe Sixers have already been taken. You can pick another team if you want though.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/15/2018 - 6:18pm #1116911

MorseWillParticipantJust saw there was another claim for the Sixers… I still would like to be their GM, and think I would be able to make moves…. however, if not I would like to be the Suns GM. They have another great Draft Night ahead of them with two firsts and a couple second round picks this year.

0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2018 - 9:44am #1116966
connybucketsParticipanti would like to the hornets. Also, this is my first year participating so how do we do this
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2018 - 3:28pm #1117008

ZachAttackParticipantBasically I will start a thread about 10 or 15 minutes before the draft is scheduled to start, then everyone will take turns picking in the actual NBA draft order. You get to be the GM. So you get to trade players and do anything else a GM might do on draft night.
For those who are requesting trades now. Please wait til I open trades possibly a day or two in advance of the draft. No trade will be approved until the trading period is officially opened by me.

ZachAttackParticipantI’ve verified everyone’s teams, so everyone who has requested one, has one.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2018 - 3:53pm #1117012

ZachAttackParticipantI’ve made a list of all available teams, so you don’t have to look at everyone’s posts to choose a team.
Boston Celtics
Brooklyn Nets
Cleveland Cavaliers – Lottery Pick
Denver Nuggets – Lottery Pick
Golden State Warriors
Houston Rockets
Los Angeles Lakers
Milwaukee Bucks
New Orleans Pelicans
Oklahoma City Thunder
Orlando Magic – Lottery Pick
Portland Trail Blazers

dmo21ParticipantI’ll roll with Orlando and see what I can do with a high pick and a crappy roster.

jmanvelocityParticipantIll take Cleveland

trelos6ParticipantAny teams left?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/18/2018 - 5:57pm #1117245

ZachAttackParticipantAvailable Teams Are:
Golden State Warriors
Houston Rockets
Milwaukee Bucks
New Orleans Pelicans
Oklahoma City Thunder
Portland Trail Blazers
San Antonio Spurs
Washington Wizards0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/20/2018 - 10:21am #1117387

ZachAttackParticipantIf noboody takes any of the above teams by the 23rd (Wednesday) then whoever wants a second team can choose out of those teams to also be the GM over. Just so everyone’s aware, with any of those GM’s who might have 2 teams, I will not be allowing any clear one sided trades involving those 2 teams. The trade must benefit both sides if a deal is to be done.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/20/2018 - 12:43pm #1117397

OhCanada-ParticipantDennis Schroeder is on the block. Looking for draft picks.
Also looking to trade down from 3.
0- Posted on: Sun, 05/20/2018 - 2:53pm #1117401

dmo21ParticipantThe Orlando Magic are interested in both Schroeder and the 3rd pick. Pretty much anything is available.
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/23/2018 - 2:38pm #1117652

OhCanada-ParticipantWell gimme an offer. Im interested in draft picks Isaac, Iwundu and Birch.
0- Posted on: Sun, 05/27/2018 - 12:48pm #1117887

dmo21ParticipantWhich bigger contracts on the Magic are you interested in/not interested in? Looking to trade for Schroder so I’ll need to match salaries. Also willing to take on Bazemore if need be.
0- Posted on: Sun, 05/27/2018 - 5:27pm #1117911

OhCanada-ParticipantWell thats all conditional. That would depend on who I select with my pick and if I trade out of #3 or not. I can say for sure I dont want Fournier unless you take Bazemore as he has 3 years remaining on his contract and were rebuilding. Either way none of Biyambo, Vucevic or Ross could end up being strong points of your deal so its almost irrelevant which one you trade me as filler.
Also I’m not trying to unload contracts. Bazemore and Plumlee have 2 years left on thier contracts and my teams salary is only at $71 million next year. We arent exactly a free agent destination so it doesnt matter for us to clear our cap.

HitsterParticipantI’ll take the Bucks if they are still available.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/22/2018 - 6:13am #1117513

DC FrazParticipantI’ll take the blazers too if no one wants them
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/23/2018 - 1:56pm #1117648

ZouldiersParticipantIf no one takes the Spurs, I’ll take them as well.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/27/2018 - 8:53am #1117878

ZachAttackParticipantWarriors, Rockets, Pelicans, Thunder, and Wizards are still available.
The Draft is still scheduled to start 9:00 ET so don’t forget!
0- Posted on: Sun, 05/27/2018 - 9:00am #1117879
Lotto StudParticipantWhat’s the value chart for projected trades?
0- Posted on: Sun, 05/27/2018 - 5:44pm #1117912

ZachAttackParticipantThere’s not really a value chart. I’m mostly saying if you’re a GM of two separate teams in this draft you can’t allow one of your teams to fleece the other one. If it’s two separate people offering a trade, I will most likely accept it.

FrankTheTankkkParticipantNugget’s GM here:
Looking to trade down from the 14th spot in exchange for a team willing to take on one of the contracts of Faried, Chandler, or Arthur.
Any interest? Specifically looking at teams with cap space – Atlanta, Indiana, and Chicago.
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 8:12am #1118129

MorseWillParticipantSuns are interested… 14 and Faried for picks 31 and 59? Would give the Nuggets the needed cap space, while still getting a couple picks in return.
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 8:50am #1118132
FrankTheTankkkParticipantThanks for the offer, but we already have two second rounds picks and would like to stay in the first round.
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 9:15am #1118136

MorseWillParticipantUnderstandable. One more offer: #14, W Chandler and Lyles for #16 and Troy Daniels?
Take the Cap relief from Chandlers $12-mil contract, only move back a couple spots… and still have depth in the front court w/ Millsap, Jokic, Faried, Plumlee, Juancho and Lydon (lol)
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 9:48am #1118139
FrankTheTankkkParticipantCan’t give up Lyles at this time, shot 50% from the field and 38% from 3 last year. He’s only 22 and can still develop into a crucial piece for our team.
We might be able to work something out, but I’m gonna wait to hear from other teams first.
I think at least one team in the 19-23 range will be willing to trade up and take on faried’s expiring deal

- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 6:01am #1118113

dmo21ParticipantOrlando here:
Looking for a young, starting caliber point guard. Everything is up for grabs depending on who you offer.
Also, would be up for the idea of trading down (while adding another piece) while still staying in the top 10-12 picks. Let me know if that interests any of you teams that are there from 7-12.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 9:12am #1118135
SportsNinjaParticipantIs anyone interested in moving up to the 2? SF and C are needs
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 1:10pm #1118155
EndlessknightParticipantAre we doing this here or will there be a new thread? How much time in between picks?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 1:22pm #1118158

Evan_MilbergParticipantI’ll take the Wizards.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 2:14pm #1118165

ZachAttackParticipantDraft starts in 45 minutes everyone! Be Here!!!
I’m starting a new thread for it about 15 minutes before the draft starts. Each pick will take 5 minutes.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 2:15pm #1118166

ZachAttackParticipantNo trades have been accepted yet. They will only be accepted once I open the thread in about a half hour.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 2:38pm #1118169

llperezLakers checking in. Also, I like our young guys and I’m not eager to move ball/kuz/Ingram so don’t bring any weak trade offers
0- Posted on: Wed, 05/30/2018 - 2:39pm #1118170
EndlessknightParticipantWhat would you be willing to give up to get rid of Deng?
