Levi Cook is coming off his freshman season and still has three more years of high school, but the local products heart seems to be in playing for the Mountaineers. Cook is 6-10 and around 300 pounds right now, so conditioning will definitely be key before he steps onto campus. Nonetheless, putting up averages of 18.6 ppg, 15.4 rpg and 4.6 bpg last season shows the young big has some idea of what he is doing. If Bob Huggins sticks around, he will be getting a potential monster in the middle come 2015. Long time between now and than, just seems from the sound of things that Cook may indeed honor his commitment, even with a lot of time to spare before he heads to Morgantown.

yeah, I’m saying I agree with you, in saying that Sean May is an embarrassment (physically wise) and that being compared to him should wake this Cook guy up

I didnt read the linked article but his grandfather (basically his dad) had passed away 2 years ago and he thought it would be a great way to remember him by commiting on his birthday.

I am not sold on his game yet but he is only 15 years old.. He needs to work on his body if he wants to be a big time college player.. I am a basketball coach here in WV and he is by far the biggest player in the state.. Big men arent very common in the Mountain State..

If he works hard and continues to develop, he could be special.. Like someone commented, he does remind one of Sean May.. However, he is already bigger than May was and he still has his "baby fat."  I saw him play this summer, again, against much smaller players, and he was showing off some range on his jumper and took his man off the dribble from the top of the key a few times.. Good skill set but he needs to work on that body and becoming more explosive..

    Great add by WVU.
