sportsjunkyParticipantThe AA rosters were released today. Upon first glance I think the east squad is definitely the favorite. My question is this though; What match-ups are you looking forward to? Yes, I know it is just an all-star game, but for those with little to no access to the aau circuit it is a great opportunity to see a Brandon Knight v. Josh Selby (the match up i want to see the most). Your thoughts?

Henry25ParticipantWatch out for my boy Jereme Richmond on the West. I played against him during both of our freshman years. He dropped 45 and 23 on my team. He is a beast and will surprise a lot of people in the McDonalds game. Glad to see him make it. Also, I’m excited to see Harrison Barnes and Brandon Knight on the same team

quinceyhodgesperfect setting for perry. although this shows its not what you do in the highschool season( perry jonbes gets less then 12 ppg) its what you do during aau and having a name. this will be a very good game. i just hoep peopel dont go crazy with expectations because a player plays well in this just like after last years game. i already see the perry jones train has started.

jeff416ParticipantThe Jordan game should be better, I dont like that 5th year seniors cant play in the game. Last year Wall wasnt able to, this year Will Barton wont be able to because of that rule. I cant wait to see how Joe Jackson and Jelan Kendrick do though.

Mr. BasketballParticipantunc adds 3 more. that means if ed davis stays they will have 10 mcdonalds all americans on their team next season plus one player who was not a mcdonalds all american but was a member of the select U.S. team in the Nike Hoop Summit game. Thats insane. they aren’t a number one next year it would be ridiculous.
pg: dexter strickland, kendall marshall, larry drew
sg: will graves, reggie bullock, leslie mcdonald, jack watts
sf: harrison barnes, john henson
pf: tyler zeller, david wear
c: ed davis, travis wearthats ridiculous!

marcusfizer21ParticipantNice to see Josh Selby getting in… He’s also a triple double machine much like Big O and LeBron though he’s nowhere near their caliber as a player but he’s defnitely one of the better all-around guys in the line-up… Josh Smith, Perry Jones, Tobias Harris, Harrison Barnes and Ray McCallum better put on a show or else…

quinceyhodgesthat goes to show you dont put topomuch stock into who makes these things since unc has 7 now and they are as bad as they are. some players peak early some late some play better against better comp some dont

Mr. BasketballParticipantno hodges, it shows how young unc is. they have 4 that are freshman, and 3 that are sophomores. next year they will be grown up and much much better.

marcusfizer21ParticipantThroughout my 22 years of existence, I have never seen North Carolina being this bad…no, no..wait… worst… They’ve been simply losing and come to think of it, they have Ed Davis and Deon Thompson… They should have gotten a quality point guard since strickland is more of a me-first scorer than a passer… Larry Drew is simply horrible IMO… He can produce but not the same level as Raymond Felton did or Ty Lawson did for this program… Harrison Barnes!!! I’m waiting…

quinceyhodgeswell wont they be even younger next year?..it shows that just because youre a allamerican it doesnt mean youre gonna be able to come in and do things right away…wall is a freshman..coyusins lance bradley boyton..all young and freshmen….like i said it shows just because youre a mcdonalds allamerican doesnt mean you are ready to do alot

jeff416ParticipantIt has nothing to do with how young they are. Kentucky’s young to but they are one of the best teams in the nation. Alot of those players for UNC who were McDonalds All Americans were overrated coming out of high school.

JNixonParticipantI think John Wall would’ve made a big difference in how good they would be this season. That was a huge mistake to not recruit Wall and even though Strickland will be a good scorer and player for UNC in the future, he’ll never be a John Wall.

marcusfizer21ParticipantThat’s the mistake UNC made… Not going after John Wall hurt them and it came back to haunt them… John Wall was a UNC fan… He would have loved to play for the Tar Heels but unfortunately, no offers came from the school which is, I know, disappointing in his part and for us Tar Heel fans…

quinceyhodgesi think he woul dhave made a difference but i dont think it hurts them as much as ya’ll keep saying. its one player for one year.
