i just found this player last night while looking up 1960 olympic stuff he seems to of went down hill very quickly does anyone know why I know he went to the military but even before that he started not doing as well whats up wit it

willie wise fanParticipanthe seems to have shot well his whole career i just wonder what kept him from continuing on the same path the first couple years before he went to the military maybe he had knee problems or something i dont know

willie wise fanParticipantyeah he was in the vietnam war theres not enough info really to draw a valid conclusion i just dont understand the whole thing of him going downhill yearly but things happen i guess

McDunkinI see the biggest dip in his numbers didnt come until after he returned from his time in the army
from 18.2 in the 1964 – 1965 season to 13.1 in his return from 2 years of military service
Wikipedia said he still played and coached for the Army team while there, but i doubt that was the same skill leve that he was used to playing against and his game might of fell off, or maybe after coming back home he just didnt feel the same about the game, Basketball might have been the last thing on his mind after coming back from a war.
