Hype MachineThis site has a lot invested in Ayton. Over the years they’ve done pound-for-pound type rankings which included every HS class combined.
And each time, they ranked Ayton right at the top…so draftnet cant deny that they’ve contributed to the Hype Machine.

Hype MachineIm hearing this verbal commitment is dubious due to Academic reasons.
If Ayton skips College to play pro overseas…or just sits out…
College Basketball is doomed.

ChrispyParticipantI remember seeing Ayton as a 14 yr old. Realy nice, quiet kid. At the camp I saw him at, while other games were happening and everyone else was watching those games, he was getting up shots by himself. He was really raw then, and still is today (though far less than before), so as he gains experience and really grows into that David Robinson frame he has…watch out.

Chilbert arenasParticipantAm I wrong to assume he will have a serious knee injury because he looks 40 already, a la Greg Oden.

wonzi_bellsParticipantHe did partially break his kneecap in the spring last year but he recovered real quickly. It was something crazy like a month or two.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantI remember when he was going into his Sophmore year of H.S and played a in a exhibition game(arrived 10 min before the game) and dropped 17 points and 18 rebounds against UNC. I mean he destroyed Johnson, Meeks, and Hicks!!!

wonzi_bellsParticipantYeah, that’s the first time I saw him. I heard about him a year earlier but I didn’t know it was him because they spelled his name DeAndre Auton instead of Ayton in the box score and I thought it was a coincidence because surely a 15 year-old kid couldn’t do that to the UNC frontcourt. I was mistaken.
Good for him and Miller though. I like the mix for Arizona. Miller is tough minded who won’t take no B.S. but will give you minutes you need.

McDunkinCommitting to Arizona has proven to be one of the fastest ways to go pro.

HitsterParticipantLinking up with Sean Miller is a decent move by DeAndre. Arizona are a decent team who usually make the NCAA tournament but are the sort of team where DeAndre will likely be the focal point and can showcase himself well.
Miller has a good coaching record so a year playing under him should help DeAndre’s game too.
