If you were hired to by the Lakers and were giving the keys would you trade Lebron..It seems like none of the top players want to play with him. Hell an article came out that he can’t even get stars to be in the new Space Jam movie…What if you could get Kyrie and KD but they don’t want to play with Bron…Or Kawhi and another star but they don’t want to play with the drama..would you trade Bron?

Do you remember who wrote it and / or what the title was? If you can add a link to this topic that would be awesome….. but I always have trouble trying to do that.

The only way LeBron gets traded is if LeBron wants to be traded. Even if they wanted to trade him. If he got sent to a team he didn’t like, he would cry and tantrum via his agent until it was unbearable for his new team. Under Rich Paul you decide your own fate.

But let’s say LeBron wanted out. Magic is gone. He’s always asked for a coach who has played before and went with a president who’s played before. Maybe Magic was the big draw for LeBron. Probably not, but if he was, there would only be one or two teams he’d be willing to go to.

If he only wants to go to the Celtics or Knicks, how much do they want his contract for 3 more years? What would the Lakers get back? A bad contract and a draft pick? I’d like to think they could get more. He could push the Celtics to a championship team, but so could a few other guys.

It’s hard to see how LeBron leaves. I didn’t even mention the Laker PR on that.

I’m more curious to find out if LeBron  would want to be traded if the Lakers can’t add another top player.

I’m surprised Lebron doesn’t have a no trade clause.

If I was the GM for the Lakers, I would defintely consider it and see what I could get for him. Especially if it meant, was to get younger stars to the Lakers like Khawi and Kyrie to sign as free agents.

LBJ couldn’t have a no trade clause when he went to the Lakers as an FA. He’d have needed to take a shorter deal and then get an NTC put into his next deal.

The Lakers would never trade him given the amount of merch he must shift before you even consider what he gives you on court.

I can tell you they just did a casting 2 weeks ago in LA for Space Jam 2 and they were looking for people to fit the roles of Westbrook, Giannis, Davis, Harden, Durant & Curry. Then Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike on the women’s side.

As far as trading LeBron. I don’t see an available GM coming in and having the balls to live with his first move being trading LeBron (That’s of course excluding Sam Hinkie) Then there’s the difficulty of finding a trade partner that can match the salary without sending back bad contracts and Bron wouldn’t pout and mail it in if he were sent to. That’s a very short list…realistically it’s probably only the Clippers and Knicks

So the question is this: Do you mean would a legit GM do this or Would I do this.

If I was a GM I would do it in a heart beat as I don’t like this teams Identity with Lebron and he is in Year 16 going 17 and the injuries,Lack of effort on both sides of the ball on a nightly basis(which could seep into team) are concerning. In my opinion this team looks better with Ball in and Lebron out..I would trade him to Phoenix for their Lottery pick this year,T.J warren  maybe another deal to make it work and a future pick or two(with top 5 protections)… As this team is better off going the develop from within route and adding  a F.A or two when this team is legit ready to make noise that actually fit…VS wasting Lebrons last prime years and the young players being stunted due to defering to Lebron

However the honest truth is I don’t know what team would: have the right assets to make it work, would want to change their identity completely to fit Lebron(as being honest it happens to all teams he goes to)…If the lakers flame out in F.A I would move Lebron before summer league as it makes no sense to keep him when they can’t add anything to capatilize on whats left of his prime. Would it be risky to do this yes as it may not look that great but its better for both sides if they did ala Wades Bulls stint to when he went back to Miami..
