Something something basketballParticipantLet me preface this by stating that this is a trade idea I think could be useful to each team after season kicks off. I think wolves should keep rubio to start but I think his trade will be inevitable at some point. He’s got great value anwolves only wolves only real way of acquiring talent. Also, I don’t see Aaron Gordon as a starting 3. He is definitely more suited as a four. So if the dominos fall the way i think they might, my trade thought is:
Kings get: Ricky Rubio, bazz
Wolves get: Aaron Gordon, CJ watson
Magic get: Rudy gay
Draft picks and lesser contracts would have to be swapped to make it seem fair but I feel like all parties involved benefit. Kings get rondos replacement and a nice young wing. Magic get their veteran wing that can complete the veteran makeover they seem to have. And the wolves find the power forward of the future and clears way for dunn without losing a veteran/defensive presence at the position.

kobyzParticipantPut Vucevic instead of Gordon and maybe…

flybobbyflyParticipantHow about if it were Gordon and Hezonja?
I would love to see a team with the athleticism of Dunn, Lavine, Wiggins, Gordon, and KAT
That team with a Thibs defensive scheme would be sick!
Hezonja has a lot of potential also so maybe it makes the trade worth it.
Your opinion?
I dont know what they are going to do with Vucevic. KAT will be the best center in the league soon.

kobyzParticipantHezonja is a scrub, i will never understand all the hype he had, most overrated prospect ever, and still people see in him a promise, the guy is lost on the court and not connect to his team, doesn’t know how to get involved, can’t do anything but shot some jump shot out of tempo of the offense…

goddagParticipantI wish all you people that don’t follow the Wolves would know what we know. Rubio is a really good defensive player and sets the table for everyoene else. Players love playing with him because he can pass to them where some otheres can’t. He’s not going any place this year.

Meditated StatesParticipantAnd wasted in Orlando. I pray he gets a trade because he needs it. Magic are limiting his progression.

BiggysmallsParticipantWhy do people continue to think Rubio is getting dealt before the season?
There’s almost no chance of that happening. I don’t even like Rubio as much some of the Wolves fans who are Rubiobos but seriously, he has more value to them than he does to another team that would have to trade for him.
That 3-way deal is meh, I’d personanly want Collison back for the Wolves and I think the Kings would be able to make that work, but Collison has the legal stuff hanging over him so I doubt he gets traded. Then there’s the Orlando side of it. Why would they want Rudy Gay? The book is out on Gay at this point. He is what he is. There isn’t a "what if…" with him anymore.

wonzi_bellsParticipantI don’t know why the Magic would do that deal. You’re reading there situation wrong. They want veterans to pair with the young guys, enough to the point they’ll make it into the playoffs – not sell all their assets for veterans and Oladipo happened to be the one they chose to go for a pretty good/useful player in Ibaka.
Aaron Gordon is on all honesty the best young player they have on that roster in terms of what his realistic upside can be, so I don’t think they’ll trade him for many, much less Rudy Gay, regardless if he fits better at the now-occupied power foward position.
I guess that would make sense for the Kings with giving them an upgrade at the point, still doesn’t move the needle much though.
As for the Timberwolves, it’s not perfect but I don’t think they can get a much better deal for Rubio as much as he’s still needed for the Wolves for next season. But this deal would never happen, so I’m not going to get too deep into this.
