BallerScriptParticipantEverytime I put together a mock, I get stuck on Washington. Do they take a big? Bol, Hayes, Bitadze, Fernando, Clarke? A wing? Doumbouya, Little, Langford, Porter, Johnson, Okpala?
I’ve got no clue who they will most likely go with.
Thoughts?

theEDGEParticipantI also have them doubting between a big man and a SF.
Wall would still be there as well as Beal and they hope to keep Portis.
So best player for those positions or maybe trade down to get more picks, maybe the Celtics if they are out of the Davis trade or the Nets.
If not, I think they take Little if the can keep Bryant as well.

The GoatParticipantParker Portis Bryant – it’s a weak front court. Is Ariza still there? Wall is hurt, so it’s just Beal really. They should flush the pick for multiple future firsts and just tank all year. The only problem with this strategy is that they could pick the best player available and try as hard as they can and they’ll still end up one of the worst teams.
So, Bol Bol is my pick. Bruno Fernando next and Nassir Little 3rd on my big board for them.

theEDGEParticipantDon’t think the Wizards want to pay Parker the team option of 20 million.
Ariza is to my knowledge a free agent so he might not be back.
Heard about a deal for Beal with the Thunder for Adams, Ferguson, Grant and their pick.
If the Wizards do that deal with their own pick just take the BPA if it’s not a Center and with the Thunder one you could add a player you need.

HitsterParticipantReddish if he was still on board would be a logical choice. I’d say they could be in a position to draft BPA but have needs at SF and they have to decide what to do about Jabari and Portis at PF. So the likes of Little, Rui and Sekou need to be looked at.
Bryant did fairly well at C so I’d assume they’d want to try and keep him. So they may be reluctant to take a specialist C unless Bryant can play some PF but they have PF/C options in Hayes and Kabengele. etc.
They will also need to look at Fernando and Bol Bol. Fernanndo may be the best front courter in their part of the draft and if they think they could lose Bryant then he may be an option.
Bol Bol is the "romantic" pick as his dad played for the team but with his size and x-factor, they at least need to have him in for a work out to really see him up close.

Evan_MilbergParticipantIt’s interesting. Around this time last year, I was beating the drum really hard for the Wizards to take Bruno Fernando, and then he went back to school and that threw a wrench in everything. Stylistically, I think he’s the C that fits the best with the team’s current personnel. However, a lot of the current players may not be back next year, so I think the pick needs to be a SF/combo forward. They don’t seem to be approaching the GM vacancy with any urgency, but whenever that position is filled that person will have to make some fast decisions about Ariza, Green, Parker, Portis and Bryant. I think Portis showed enough flashes of all-star potential to warrant the $16 mil/year contract he wants, and Bryant is one of the few Wizards who displayed consistent tenacity on both ends of the floor. I think Ariza, Green and Parker are replaceable, starting with the #9 pick. Lately, I’ve really liked the idea ot trading down for Haichimura or Okpala. I do NOT want them taking Doumbouya, who is still really raw, and the Wizards don’t have a good track record of developing raw European talent.

CoachWyersParticipantI think Washington is ideally looking for a high upside big like Jaxson Hayes, but also could take the BPA approach if Cameron Reddish is still there.

OhCanada-ParticipantI think if Fernando is available at 9 thats the pick.

mamadouParticipantNassir Hachimura Rui Little if they keep the pick.
On the other hand they only have like 3 and a half healthy players under contract, it’s crazy.
I think they’ll trade down with the celts, they can get a wing and a big.
Looking at their "roster", it’s time to trade Beal, and re beal’d, reload.
