Blatche never matured or learned the work ethic to be a solid contributor for the Wiz.  Washington has really revamped their roster and removed many problem pieces.  They should be an improved team next year.

I remember it was during a  Wizards game and he commited a foul and the ref blew the whistle. He then (un)intentionally yelled at the ref and knowing he was about to get the technical foul, he quickly tried to cop the plea, but it was too late. LMAO. What a joke. He had so much potential to be one the premier big men in the league. Just threw it away.

Wizards are going to be MUCH improved this season, removing guys like Blatche and adding a healthy Nene, Okafor, Beal… they are a deep team with a nice mix of youth and veteran experience. I can see them pushing for the 8 seed this season.

Now that all of the dead weight and immaturity is gone from the roster the focus needs to be shifting toward John Wall’s development into an All-Star calibur PG and clinching a playoff spot and not another lottery pick.

I think that he just needs a fresh start. The pistons would be a nice a team to pick him up  (hear me ot) i def think he would be a good upgrade over Villanueva and he WILL learn to be around positive people and good role models as opposed to being around all knuckleheads (excluding wall) Detroit has alot of class acts on the team (monroe, knight, Jerebko, English, wallace, etc) so he has no other choice but to be influenced to work hard..

I really wanna see Villanueva gone, Blatche would be an upgrade over him if he gets his act together.

I don’t want him anywhere near a team with a young nucleus, he’s a very bad influence remember last year him and javale McGee were arrested for fighting at the club, I would rather him go to a veteran heavy team like San Antonio to get his act right, look at Stephen Jackson how he behaved when he was traded to SA

Blatche was really coming along two years ago.

He was dominant at times in 2010 and the Wizards were winning aswell hence the extension, he averaged 26.5ppg 11.7rpg 3.4apg 1.4spg and 1.4bpg in a seven game stretch in February where the Wiz were 4-3, the then 23 year old was really repaying the faith and patience that the Wizards invested in him.

Fast forward to July 2012, and i’m not really surprised the Wizards have done this, the current Blatche is a shell of the 2010 version and he doesn’t have the conditioning or team mentality to be part of this new look Wizards team, he was a posion to all the younger guys on that team.

I doubt a young team will roll the dice on Blatche with the hope he can get back in shape, even if he does, who knows what kind of example he’ll set to the younger players, he may be available as a cheap option but the extra baggage he brings would make him a headache for coaches and GMs. I agree with igetbuckets99, he needs to go to a veteran, playoff team to get back on track.

Lakers or Celtics would be 2 good landing spots for him. C’s would be the ultimate destination as he could learn from KG and get a work ethic. Doutbrul though with all the bigs they have. ACtually, aside from conditioning/injury issues, part of the problem he didn’t go back to the guy he was becoming in 2010 was because he was put into a position as a pick and pop guy instead of playing in the post and it was quite a detriment to his game. HE became very upset over this if I recall correctly and then had all o the issues with JaVale. I actually still have faith in him and have actually gotten a little more as I see him anestied in hopes that he can get to one of these veteran laden teams and actually develop into the guy he needs to become. I have personal stock in him since he was my favorite player from the 06 high school class followed by Bynum then Cj Miles.

Anyone else have thoughts on who would be a good team for him to play with. NJN possibly?
