Picking up where he left off after winning the Big 12 player of the week, Andrew Wiggins just dropped 29 points and 7 rebounds in the Kansas win over Iowa State.  Wiggins was aggressive and had an awesome stretch where he scored 6 points in about 20 seconds in the second half.  Great game and the Jayhawks are clicking right now.

For those of us who stayed on the Wiggins bandwagon this isn’t surprising. He came into the season raw, hell he’s still raw, but you can see the improvement he’s made from the beginning of the year. The big thing I kept trying to tell others was that by the end of the year he’d look like the player many expected him to be and so far he’s on the right path.

Maybe he regain that #1 pick status.  I still think he is the best prospect.

I thought this appropriate for a thread titled “Wiggins Strikes Back”:

I’m watching all the Kansas games and it strikes me that a lot of the points he scores are unchallenged points because he’s so athletic and he can be everywhere. That’s something anyone super-athletic can do.

What I really like is that he’s shooting more of the mid-range shots he floats. He’s had some trouble finishing on drives and if teams start fearing the floater, he’ll be able to drive much easier. His 3’s are also starting to fall. Exciting times.

This Kansas team is so talented. Unless they fall off a cliff, I’m going to pencil them in as my favorite to win it all. They’ve had ups and downs, but once they play together for a few more games I see them working out the kinks.

Andrew does remind of Paul George, he is looking much more confident in that shot and I would say with his play lately he is easily gaining fight for the second spot. He just finishes in a WAY different manner than Jabari around the rim, the way his athleticsm allows him to slither thru defense and finger roll the ball in the over the defense with his ridiculous wingspan, together with the way he’s fluidly pull up off the dribble lately, impressive. He’s putting it together, he’s looking nice hoop

Well they changed the comparaison from Scottie to PG/Rudy Gay… I think Andrew’s outside shot wont be as good as he is in NCAA, cause of the distance, but I might be wrong, we’ll see.

    happy for him..

outside of those few dissapearing games where he shot few shots and finished in single digits he would be a 20ppg scorer..

love he shows he can shoot
