bjcart53ParticipantI guess what I am asking is your top 5 players you have seen in your lifetime live during their careers. My personal list would be:
Michael Jordan
Magic Johnson
Larry Bird

bjcart53ParticipantI didn’t see kareem in my lifetime…and Shaq and Kobe are definitely arguble…I just went with Pippen’s overall game. But naw you are absolutely right. Had i seen kareem live he would be right up there over magic

wish I could have put Michael Cooper, I was a big fan. Dumars, loved his game. Shawn Kemp (would love to seen prime Kemp vs Blake Griffin!), I loved Dr. J but he was slightly past his prime when I was watching, had I had seen him in the ABA, he would be up there with Jordan I am sure.

suddsParticipantConsidering that everyone is naming their favs
1. MJ
2. Barkley
3. Penny ( I just loved watching him)
4. Magic
5. Shaq
Just 5 seems unfair for a true fan. Kemp, Pippen, Hakeem, Bird, AI all great calls, VC and T-Mac always make me wonder what could have been…. I loved watching hustle players like Rodman, (and to a lesser degree) Camby, Vlade and now Noah, Dikembe wag his finger, Reggie talk shite, guys like KG, Webber…Duo’s like Stockton and Malone work their tag team, Duncan/ Robinson, Johnson/ Mourning, Ewing/ Starks and there sure there are a lot of great athletes now even to watch. These days with LBJ, Rose, Wade, Durant, Westbrook, Paul, Amare…etc..
I think each of our set of choices kind of date us to a degree though. Mine especially.
Isn’t basketball great though. So many choices, it would be a better post to ask who are your top 5 players you love that will probably not make it to the Hall.
This is why basketball is the greatest game on the planet!
