I haven’t heard any buzz about him during the free agent period. What’s a good fit for him? This site compared him to James Harden several years ago now he’s faded like a pair of cheap black jeans in the washer.

Who else is out there that your surprised about and where do you think they’ll land?

Alex Len too. Len can still do 2 things pretty well for a center, and that is shoot mid range jumpers and block shots. I’d take him over a way overrated Dewayne Dedmon honestly.

But i remember at the beginning of the season Derrick Rose was supposedly asking for 4-5 years at 25 mil a year. Now he’ll be lucky to get 2 years at 15 mil a year.

Ilyasova. It seems like he’s been in the league forever but he’s only 30, and had a bit of a resurgence last hear. He’d be an ideal backup power forward.

Also Mbah a Moute. Elite defender and started knocking down 3s last year. Seems like a guy who could be very useful against the Warriors with his ability to play lockdown D on multiple positions.

I wish the Spurs had signed him with the Joffrey Lauvergne money. Joffrey Lauvergne sounds like Pop’s favorite sommelier, not his backup center.

Aaron Afflalo, Tony Allen, Pau Gasol. Still some good players out there that can be had for cheap.

Wasn’t following Barbosa last year. Anybody know if he’s washed? He was playing well a couple of years ago. Wondering if he can still provide some good minutes off the bench for a contender.

I could see shabazz being a player who could get a team 15pts a game if given the minutes.  His defense could be a problem but if I was the nets or hawks I would pick this guy up.

No news on Nerlens Noel either. I think guys like him and Len become unrestricted FAs by 15th July if they haven’t been offered a qualifying offer.

Ersan is a good call too, offeres nice shooting and a veteran presence. I had thought he might have gone back to Philly buy they signed Amir instead.

Of course we don’t know what players’ demands are as often some get offered more and others less than we may have thought.

Pkus with RFAs, teams may be wary to make an offer if they think a player’s last team may match as that salary space is tied up until last team has decided and the other team may miss out on other players in that time.

i always thought Shabaz  would be a good fit on the Clippers, not really a punch of the bench but more of a jab. He is a clever scorer at times but not much of a B ball IQ. Anyways with Crawford gone another scorer is needed.

David Lee was a terrific third big man for the Spurs last year. If his body could handle 30 mpg I think he could still average a double-double.

He’s super-crafty and very skilled, but he can’t shoot threes and he’s not the most mobile guy. Has Golden St. really dried up the market for guys like that, by making them almost unplayable (against the Warriors at least)? I think he would be great as a mentor to the young bigs in Philly, and could get decent minutes there if they trade Okafor.

I think the reason why so many of these fringe guys are still available is that the salary cap wound up being lower than expected. There just isn’t the money out there that a lot of these guys anticipated and teams are being more careful with how they use it. The days of teams throwing out 4 year deals in the 16-18 million range for guys like mosgov and mahimi are probably over (at least for now). Unless you are a superstar, last summer was really the time to get paid.
