This trade would work for all parties:

Clippers send Baron Davis to Golden State & Marcus Camby (expiring contract) to Sacramento

Sacramento sends Beno Udrich (terrible contract) and #4 pick to Clippers.

Golden State sends #7 pick to Sacramento & Anthony Randolph to Clippers

Clippers: Baron Davis and Mike Dunleavy will never be able to successfully co-exist. Baron Davis found out the grass isn’t always greener and would love to return to the Warriors. And they actually want him back!!! The Camby departure will create the needed playing time for Griffin to develop.
The Clippers would receive the #4 pick to draft Ricky Rubio and form the best young 1-2 punch in the NBA. Hearing, “Rubio to Griffin….Slam Dunk!!” for the next 10 years sounds good to me. They also get a player they once coveted in Beno Udrich, who could also be a part time starter while Rubio grows into the full time PG role. Anthony Randolph would be talented filler for the trade.

Sacramento: They get to dump the horrible contract of Beno Udrich and receive cap space relief with the expiring contract of Marcus Camby. They also get to draft their much needed PG of the future with the #7 draft pick (Brandon Jennings or Jrue Holiday)

Golden State: Don Nelson’s dreams will come true!! Heeeeee’s Back!!!!

Sounds great but Sac is losing a pick and a contract. GS is losing their pick and losing a possile star in Randolph. And clippers are getting Randolph getting rid of Camby and Getting a 4th overall pick. Clips would get a super nice deal if it came true but idn why sac would do this deal.

Sacramento is desperate for cap relief (example: Bulls Trade). The Maloof Bros. have been hit hard from the economic downturn. The Kings’ financial struggles are well documented http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/1612400.html?mi_rss=Kings%2FNBA
and have caused their recent attempts to purge the team of long term salary obligations. Camby is one and done and is a very valuable trade commodity.

get it hard up the ass in this trade. Davis who is now old and injury prone for their pick AND Randolph? That’s wack-sauce.

I dont think the Clips could get away with this type of robbery. They trade one bad contract for another, get rid of Camby and get a #4 and Anthony Randolph. The other teams would never go for this.

Report from Chad Ford of ESPN.com states otherwise, which makes sense. Anthony Randolph and Brandon Wright duplicate the same skill set in and thus interchangable. Warriors would immediately become a playoff contender with Baron Davis as the full time PG. With the same lineup as last year and say…..Brandon Jennings would that be the case?

Golden State will not trade the #7 for davis, let alone Davis and Randolph. Not happening.

This is a classic trade proposal from a fan of one team. Warriors trade a lottery pick and potential franchise 19 yr. old for a past his prime player making $60 million who can’t stay healthy Hey Clips fan I gotta deal that I think would be really great. Warriors trade Corey Magette and his $50 mil. deal to the Clippers for Eric Gordan. Dunleavy gets back his great halfcourt player and the Warriros get a young stud guard. That doesn’t sound good???? hmmmmmmmm….. I considered flagging your comment as offensive………..to Warriors fans.

Apparently, Golden State doesn’t want Corey Maggette and LA doesn’t want Baron Davis. How about a trade of Corey Maggette and Brandan Wright for Baron Davis.

This trade sends each player back to their original team. Golden State needs a point guard to allow Monta Ellis to move back to the off guard position and the Warriors are considering taking back Davis. Brandan Wright is a very similar player to Anthony Randolph but the new Warriors management loves Randolph and has already said they are keeping Randolph who could blossom into a star.

The trade also allows the Clippers to free up room at the point for Ricky Rubio who Clipper management loves. I still think the Clippers will draft Griffin first overall but will try and get the 2nd or 3rd pick to also draft Rubio. (I don’t think they can manage this.) Then they will trade Griffin for Rubio plus some young talent.

Also, Zach Randolph is an untradeable commodity. He has a bloated contract (thanks NY) that runs through next summer, a complete lack of defense, and a bad rep. So if the Clippers keep Griffin, Randolph is going to be coming off the bench all of next year. (Still might happen though.)

NY didn’t give him that contract, Portland did. It was a miracle that Walsh was able to dump that contract, but I guess not much of a miracle considering who he was able to dump it on.

I’m sorry you’re right. I thought Randolph had an expiring contract when he was traded to New York and they negotiated a contract extension shortly after. All I have found though is that after winning Most Improved player in 2004 Portland gave him a six year contract extension. Portland really messed up on that one. I do remember all of the New York fans being really happy on draft day that they were able to get Randolph though.

Can’t happen!!! All three teams are over the cap… Its going to be hard to move BD and that contract without taking on another one… Camby makes 9 mil. and Udrich only makes 5… That’s not going to happen with a 4 mil difference… And BD’s 17 mil is huge compared to Randolph’s 1.5 mil… Golden State have a huge problem… They have a lot guys that play the same position and they’re over paying a lot of them… Then they have young talent that they don’t want to get rid of… So they just need to package some of those youngs players with a vet and get a solid 4 man… Clippers have that same problem but at Center and soon to be PF… They just need to stop being greedy and do the right thing for the players and the team… Its not enough minutes in the game for all of them…….

Like the thought but can’t happen with the scenrio you gave…

And you are a Clippers fan, they said a million times they are NOT trading Camby… He was off limits during the season and is now… Kamen, BD, and Randolph… Other than that no Camby… Unless they get some serious deals…

Kings were under the cap in 09 due to all the moves they made this past season. Also Kenny Thomas contract will give them cap relief for 2010. Picking up Camby and dumping Udrih and giving up the number 4 pick wont get them Jennings or Holiday…

Edit: IIRC … 5 to 7 million under in 09

They bought out contracts… 3 to be exact… But after this year is done, for the beginning of the 2009-2010 season they are under 3 mil. with a 52 mil. cap.. When the League cap is 55 mil… But I highly doubt the Clippers will take Udrih for Camby especially with 4 years left on his deal… And Camby’s deal ending next year…. Not to mention Udrih wasn’t under performing, he’s just not a starting PG…

    Good catch tho……

Im not even a Warriors fan but why the hell would they give up Randolph and the #7 pick for Davis??? That is honestly one of the worst trades i have ever seen for one team. Heres an idea, why don’t the clippers just give up Eric Gordon, #1 overall, DeAndre Jordan, and Al Thornton for Corre Maggette, Jamal Crawford, and Stephen Jackson?
