SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantLakers pacers trade IF Dwight comes back
Lakers get Danny granger, Gerald green and miles plumlee
Pacers get Pau
Lakers get more athletic and better shooting while the pacers get a major upgrade in the post. West and Hibbert are nice but Hibbert and Pau is better.

SubZeroParticipantI actually like this. But what would the Pacers do with David West? Is this assuming they let him walk or would they bring him or Pau off the bench?

Chilbert arenasParticipantI wouldn’t do it since you would have to let West walk. David West is the heart and sole of that team and a huge presence in the locker room. Pau brings none of that to the table. Also Pau is owed 19 mil next year while West could be signed for half of that.

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantI think the Lakers would want David West if this were to happen. Other than that it’s a good trade for both teams

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantI dunno dude Pau and Hibbert inside is legit. David west is a good player and a nice fit for Indiana if they want to keep losing in the playoffs.
Pau can get a triple double and showed a lot this year playing through all that drama. He can also help Hibbert keep developing. West and Pau are both 32. Let west walk and get pau then you have a HOFer and 19mill coming off the books in a few years.

PlatypusParticipantIs it possible to have a 3 man big man rotation of Hibbert, West, and Gasol with Mahini mixed in their? Would their ego’s get in the way? the minutes are there. I mean David West would be a great piece off the bench and we all know how week their bench is. They could also trade Hansbrough for a decent wing back up

HitsterParticipantThe deal is interesting but Pau’s salary could put the Pacers off and they would be loathe to lose David West but Pau and Hibbert together would be very tasty.

benny15Participantnot a bad idea, but i personally dont like it for the pacers. as mentioned, it would lead to letting david west walk. so they end up loosing granger, west, last year’s first round pick for gasol’s maxed out contract and to get rid of green’s contract? not a fair swap for me, i’d much rather keep the extra depth of my team and build on the chemistry they have developed this past season.

mercyman25ParticipantDavid West has a consistent jumper that Pau doesnt. Gotta spread the court for easy buckets or else you end up like the current Lakers roster. Clogging up the middle.

nick5354ParticipantI have seen far worse trade idea but I just feel the Pacers need to bring back West. I love his game, and think he is a great PF to play along the bigman hibbert. They need to address this problem at PG first. Or upgrade the SG spot.
