Hornets get- Michael Beasley, Renaldo Balkman, Nikola Pekovic, Toney Douglas and 2nd Rounder(MIN)

T’Wolves get- Emeka Okafor, Landry Fields, Bill Walker and Conditional 1st in 2016 From NYK + cash considerations from NYK

Knicks get- Wesley Johnson and Luke Ridnour

New Orleans- They get another young guy to add to Gordon and their future. They can move Landry into the starting 5 and Pekovic can back up Kaman, Douglas is suited as a back up and can back up Jack for now. They also cut some salary by letting go of Okafor and get a 2nd Rounder which could be early which are some what valuable.

PG- Jack/Douglas

SG- Gordon/Ariza

SF- Beasley/Aminu

PF- Landry/Smith

C- Kaman/Pekovic

Minnesota- They get a true defensive Center to put behind Love, Okafor and Love will be the top rebound frontcourt in my eyes. Fields is a valuable glue guy and role player who will fit on this team, similar to how he played before the Carmelo trade. Walker is just a throw in and the conditional 1st could turn out to be a solid pick up. Not to mention the cash is always good. They can also start Derrick Williams and JJ Barea.

PG- Rubio/Barea

SG- Barea/Fields/Ellington

SF- Williams/Webster

PF- Love/Randolph/Tolliver

C- Okafor/Milicic

New York- They need a better 2 Guad who can compliment Melo and a passing PG until Davis comes back. Giving up Fields’ rebounding would suck but he’s a liability on Offense. Ridnour is not the defender that Douglas is but he’s effective enough and can hit the open 3 and is a better passer than TD23. The Knicks can also pick up Joey Graham on the minimum to replace Renaldo

PG- Ridnour/Bibby—Davis will start when he comes back

SG- Johnson/Shumpert

SF- Anthony/Graham

PF- Stoudemire/Jeffries

C- Chandler/Harrellson/Jordan

Can’t really say anything negative about the trade. It makes sense as far as needs go. At first I questioned NY getting rid of Fields, but Johnson is likely the better fit with what remains. My only doubt is that I see teams not wanting to deal with NO anymore after the whole Chris Paul league veto.

Teams may feel pressured into giving up too much another thing is most teams wont make the deal because major changes at this point arent needed especially for New York but a shot at Wes Johnson is a lot to just turn down

Are you sure you wanna logjam the each team with PFs? And Ariza sliding to the two is a stretch, as I see him more of a true SF.

I noticed that with NOH having 4 SF’s (Beasley, Ariza, Aminu and Pondexter) but essentially it makes Aminu expendable, Ariza is def tradable to a vet team but for rotation sake, Ariza can play the 2 similar to how Landry Fields is playing the 2, it all depends on the system

About the trade, it’s not a ridiculous one, but not really good for NY, cause I believe that Douglas has real good potential, and Bill Walker has some promise, but I really like Field’s potential to be a 17 and 7 guy in the future. Wes Johnson will be a nice player, but he’s already 24, and I don’t think he’ll be more than a decent starter. Luke Ridnour is not the answer at the guard spot.

I like the thinking in regards to NO, cause getting a guy like Beasley and having him and Gordon as the cornerstones to the franchise is not a bad start, however Beasley needs to show some effort on D ang grow up maturity wise.

And for Minnesota, I like the deal valuewise in the sense that they get solid veteran, but they already have Darko and K-Love, but still not a bad idea, he is an upgrade over Darko.

If you take Fields out of the deal it may work now that i think of it, but GMs don’t have the balls to pull of trades like these unless they have to, like the Melo and CP3 deals.
