BasketBalAllanParticipantMarcus Thornton has been looking great since coming to the Kings, his defense has been solid and scrappy but it is the other end of the floor where he has really stepped up his game. So far in the last four games, since coming to Sac, he is averaging 21 ppg on 52% shooting and 40% from beyond the arc. He is also getting around three rebounds, two assists, and two steals a game in around 29 minutes. While that is very good for his development, I feel the best is yet to come when he and Tyreke are able to get on the floor together. Tyreke has always been able to find teammates off of driving and Thornton’s play of late has been exactly what Tyreke needs on the floor with him, someone who can play on or off the ball, who has handles and a great shooting ability, is not going to back down from a play, and does not give up easy points on the defensive end.

OhCanada-ParticipantSo maybe Sacramento doesnt target Kyrie, and he can slip to Toronto!! Who am I kidding unless the raptors get lucky with the lotto they have no chance drafting Irving…

Moon RiverParticipantAs a devote Syracuse fan, where do you see Donte Green fitting into this team (if at all)? I think he is a talented enough guy to be a solid contributor in the Association, but quetions his desire.

BasketBalAllanParticipantDonte Greene is having a very hard time finding himself this year; I do not think the Kings will keep him beyond this summer. He is struggling on both ends of the floor and I do not think he fits well with some of the other players they are building around. He still has potential and could become a solid contributor, just not on the Kings.

flyboyParticipantHe’s done a great job scoring these last 4 games for the Kings, primarily because they don’t have many guys playing outside of Marcus who can/will create their own shots and score consistently. The question will be if he can keep this up with Tyreke returning, and if Tyreke and Marcus can play together on the court at the same time.

Moon RiverParticipantThanks- don’t catch much of the Kings.

KayjayParticipantIs going to get traded after this year for a better point guard if the Kings don’t get Irving. I know for a fact they will pick up a forward. Greene had enormous potential, and still does he’s young after all. But I don’t think its going to happen in sac-town/Anaheim. Maybe he’ll get better on a different team. Because it seems like his ceiling is high, but he’s stunting his own growth.

sacphil_08Participantas a big time kings fan, watching thornton excites me because not only can he create shots for himself and knock down jumpers consistently, but he plays great defense, much better than i thought he was capable of. he is the perfect compliment to tyreke and we have been needing someone that will command some attention on the perimeter. hopefully tyreke can be back in enough time to see if the two of them can gel but i dont see that being an issue. thornton was never a go to guy in new orleans and i dont see him complaining or acting how kevin martin did with tyreke. also to kings fans, im thinking more like a big in the draft… if hes available, derrick williams from arizone??? we need an athletic guy up front and he has a motor near that of dare i say blake griffin in terms of his second bounce and he seems to have more refined offensive skills than blake did at that point in college. i think he and demarcus would fit very nicely.
