immaletufinishbutParticipantSo Skeen was a former Mr Basketball in North Carolina, why did he not get recruited by duke (or was Jalen Rose correct)?

BKKnicksfanParticipant
But where’s your proof that he wasn’t recruited by Duke?

immaletufinishbutParticipantHis highschool profile on ESPN years back did not have duke as a school that recruited him……..

BKKnicksfanParticipantCheck scout.com they usually have a more deeper group of schools, where as ESPN usually have 5-6 teams

jas225ParticipantHe had offers from wake, clemson, miami, and florida it says on rivals. It says he commited to Wake.
I do not know his path and how he went from commiting to wake to playing for VCU.

ghettosermonParticipantSkeen played 2 years at Wake and was actually a pretty good player as a freshman and sophomore. He transfered his junior years as he was on academic probation at Wake or something like that. Last year his first year at VCU he was just a complementary player to Larry Sanders. This year he’s the leading scorer and rebounder on the team. His skill set is extremely impressive.

ghettosermonParticipantSkeen is rasing his stock so much. Before the tournament not sure he would get much attention to be drafted even with his strong season, right now he is really making himself not draftable but maybe going even early 2nd round or who knows how high with the weak draft class.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI don’t think the draft class is that weak. I think it’s more weak with superstars. I think mid to late 2nd is more realistic for Skeen.

immaletufinishbutParticipantI just find it amazing that your Mr basketball in your state and the top two programs(north carolina and duke) there do not recruit you……

romeeezybabyParticipanta scholarship, it doesn’t qualify them as a D-1 NCAA Basketball school? I was already aware of that, IVY league schools because of how high their yearly tuition rate is (well over $100,00 per year).
