OhCanada-ParticipantAlmost certain he’s gonna enter the draft this year call it an educated guess. Had a rough year at Vanderbilt, not much talent to showcase his strengths and the Garland injury really screwed him, especially during coference play but I feel like he’s a great talent and a real sleeper. Get him into a program where he can work on his game everyday and wont have to focus on school work and he could become special in a year or two.
Where would he get drafted if he enters this year. I think hes a 1st round talent but if he’s available in the 2nd round which is likely its a great pick.

CoachWyersParticipantI think he enters next year, but I see him as a early to late 2nd rounder.

GBeeParticipantI don’t get his appeal. He’s 6’10 and can run the floor…thats about it. Doesn’t have a promising stroke, or any projectable skill really. He’s not a freak athlete, has no moves or a go-to anything in the halfcourt, doesn’t have advanced defensive chops for his age, doesn’t have a high iq, cant really call him a high motor guy. He’s just…6’10 and is a decent athlete. His physical profile isn’t enough to overlook his lack of game.

OhCanada-ParticipantOffensively he’s raw but he’s got the ballhandling and alot of those step throughs finishing at the rim. He’s got the passing skills but is a bad decision maker as of now. Defensively his potential is through the roof.

GBeeParticipantHe can handle the ball somewhat in the open court but I think he’s more willing than good in that department. He’s also beem a horrible finisher for a big at the college level. Like, why does a big who’s game is finishing, slashing, transition play, garbage buckets shoot a poor percentage from 2?
Where is this defensive potential coming from? His measurable aren’t great, neither is his athleticism. He’s not a good defender now and doesn’t display any of the intangibles that I look for in prospects who have good defensive potential (motor, toughness, iq, etc). Someone who’s a raw, athletic type with defensive potential would at the very least be more disruptive on that end of the floor. He’s not even that at the college level.

OhCanada-ParticipantYep he’s very raw. His finishing is alarming. But you cant seriously be questioning his athletisism. The way he runs the floor at 6’10 240. You wouldnt say hes a good athlete? I understand being realistic buy your super critical on every prospect, gotta have some optimism.

GBeeParticipantI would call him a fluid athlete, not explosive or anything like that. When i watch him move, it doesn’t scream out future defensive stopper, even a disruptor on defense. He can run the floor, but as for qualities like stop/start explosion or lateral quickness, I don’t see it like I do in raw prospects like, say Kabengele or a Jaxson Hayes, now that’s projectable athleticism/length with the stats to boot.

CoachWyersParticipantI get his appeal he has good size and is a strong athlete so he has great physical tools. He may not project to be much of a scorer, but he handles the ball good enough to get to the rim and is a good passer. He is also a versatile defender where he can guard wings or posts due to his quickness and wingspan.

HobbyOGParticipantI think he stays..one of the reasons he picked Vandy was for the great academic programs they have, Vandy is like the Stanford of the South. Very smart kid.

ChewyParticipantbut I feel he is in a similiar situation to Ivan Rabb. People were high on him coming into his freshman year and hes dropped. Now he has to decide to stay an extra year to try and get into the lotto, or just risk it and go pro.
And, just my prediction, if he stays, I see him panning out like Rabb too- late, late 1st rd or 2nd round pick after his Soph year.
