Shareef O’Neal will undergo heart surgery as he has recently found out that he has a serious heart issue.

O’Neal will not particpate in sports for a year

Danggg that sucks. I hope everything goes well. Way too young to be needing heart surgery!

was a day closer to another tragedy. Good job for UCLA medical to find the issue and notify the player immediately.

Good and bad news – at least he has hopefully got it sorted and can resume a normal life. Jeff Green had a similar issue a few years back and after having a year out returned to the NBA and is still playing.

Good luck to Shareef in his recovery.  Seems like a humble and well-rounded kid.  His health is most important to him, not playing basketball right now.  Hopefully the year off will make him 100 percent so he can come back and play.  This kid intrigues me and I want to see if any of his game resembles his old man.

     tragedy & that was Horrible!

I feel for terrible for this young guy – anything w/ the Heart is so scary & I’m sure Shareef is going to struggle w/ it mentally long after the surgery to fix the issue

But thank goodness he’s going to make a full recovery & he’ll be able to resume his career next year

It just goes to show you that Everyone has problems – from the outside looking in it might seem like a perfect life but no one in this world is free from struggle & suffering
