Where do you guys think Shareef’s draft stock sits currently? Before news of his heart condition broke out, he appeared to be slotted in the mid-late first round. I’m in the middle of putting together a 2020 mock draft and have him in the 30s-40s as of right now.

Being the son of a legend will always attrack comparisons some helpful and some not. The fact is he’s never going to be as good as his Dad and the heart issue would put up some red flags. But he has been medically cleared to play and if there was any doubts about his health I think it would have become clear. The guy is Shaq’s lad so it’s not like he needs to play professionally for money.

I’m going to judge him on his own merits this coming season and see how he does. I agree that 2nd round would seem a fair ballpark mock draft place for him currently.

Before his heart condition news, I thought he was in the 30-40 range in a weak 2018 high school class, not mock draft. I don’t think his stock will be high enough for him this year.

I could see Shareef staying in college for two years. He doen’t need to make the nba quick since his family has money. An extra year of starting might help him develop into a relly good player and crack the first round if he did that.

Ahh plus those college parties with the sorority girls and cheerleaders will be kinda hard to leave lmao

I have him as a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder in 2020 currently.  Don’t really know how he will turn out as an NBA player I think he will be a better overseas guy as he reminds me of Ed O’Bannon.

Right now he is an athletic uptempo big who can weakside shot block.  He is still very raw, needs to become consistent, add strength, and put more effort in at the defensive end.

i think he will drop to the second round 2. he’s got first round talent but his heart condition will be risky for teams to gamble on.

I think he’ll surpise some people and go lottery in the 2021 draft..he plays with energy, nice jump shot, decent dribble game..good stretch 4 on the next level.
