OhCanada-ParticipantAlthough Rondo is definitely going to torch Boston I still think they lose.

IndianaBasketballParticipantEating ham, greens, mac and cheese, rolls and sweet potatoes… And watching the NBA on Christmas… Ahhh the life.

KayjayParticipantWe we’re so close to not having this. But its here, and the NBA is alive and kickin babbbbbyyyy.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant1.Corn Beef Brisket with slow cooked Potatoes and Carrots(for my Jewish family)
2.Honey Glazed Ham and Baked Mac and Cheese(for my Black family)
and
3.Pork Roasted with Spanish Rice and Beans(for my Puerto Rican family)
all that in the belly with some NBA for dessert…
Now My Picks for these glorious holiday games are…
Boston over NY, 9 straight wins over NY
Miami over Dallas, the Heat get a W in a revenge game
Bulls over Lakers, Rose and the Gang are too much for Bynumless Lakers
and the Magic over the Thunder in a shocker…Nelson for Threeeeeeeeee….
Merry Christmas draftnet brothers, best wishes from The Crow’s Nest…

mikeyvthedonParticipantNice gift of NBA basketball. Hope Christmas is treating you well.

j1232eParticipantThe first half the celtics looked like rondo and the stiffs. Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett came to ball the second half. Knicks really need gaurd help point and shooting. Knicks front court of Chandler, Amarie and Carmelo are very solid.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 9:23am #617818
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant28 never sounded as old as it does today…I hope everything is good up there in the Toronto area…you watching the games today…I got Boston beating the Knicks by at least 5, Iman Shumpert was just injured too, and last random thought but Avery Bradley needs to stay buried on the bench…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 9:30am #617819
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantthey called Sasha Pavlovic a Tech when he was barely jawwing at Melo, there have been some very suspect foul calls too…I’m going to be pissed if the Refs start this season off with terrible officiating, the Players are already looking like Crap due to a shortened training camp and 2 preseason games…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 9:33am #617821
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant30 plus points with a few assists and rebounds, if he can become a solid midrange shooter he will definitly justify a top 3 Pg nod…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 9:57am #617827
j1232eParticipantDid I just see Garnet grab Bill Walker by the throat after he missed the game winner.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 9:57am #617828
OhCanada-ParticipantLebron has a post game. Oh man this is going to suck for the other 29 teams.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 10:05am #617830
surveParticipantI loved this pick but he may make an impact even earlier than expected. He is very aggressive and confident to be playing with a team of such calibur. Watch out Chalmers….the Heat may have their PG of the future.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 10:11am #617832
NYCrealdealParticipantcant just say someone added a new element to his game by watching one quarter. and that lefty hook was when he was DEEP in the post. i need to see his post game on a regular basis.
as far as my knicks are concerned i hate to see shump get injured hope he gets back ASAP. knicks were being bullied seccond half on the boards.melo played great. our offense was stagnent and it was ALL on melo today. and the C’s were getting plenty of calls this game. good way to start off the year. but we need to imporve a lot to meet the expectations. Happy Holidays!

OhCanada-ParticipantCole is definitely making a huge impact in this game. He could end up averaging 30-mpg if he keeps playing like this. He is making some big mistakes though like defensive reads, overdribbling, and fundimental mistakes within the system, but this is technically like a preaseason game. What a steal.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIm a Philly guy so I have no Bias towards Boston at all…But I counted at least 5 calls that should not have been called or were JUST WRONG…The final points were scored by Melo from cheap free throws that decided the game, the foul was called on Daniels who cleanly striped Melo from behind…The technical foul called on Sasha was bogus as well…all in al I was let down by the refs taking this game out the hands of the players, whenever a game is decided by Bad Calls you have to wonder "WHY"…
Anyway, good win for the Knicks who will be without Iman Shumpert, Baron Davis and Mike Bibby at the start of this Season, they didn’t look great by any means and to be honest if they suffer any more Major injuries they will be no greater than a 8th seed in the East…They really only have Melo and Amare on offense and If 1 of them goes down the Knicks will be in a very tough position…
The Celtics lost this game by playing Sasha and Bradley for extended minutes, while Bradley was in the game he made countless boneheaded plays and actually smiled the whole time(I seriously asked if can this guy be sent to the D league during a game) Daniels played well in spite of being matched up with Melo…J Oneal looks very Old and out of shape, he miss several easy lay ups and that could be a very scary thing because he’s going to have to play a lot this year…I will be suprised if the Celtics dont try to make a run at Chris Kaman, Mikeal Pietrus would help them greatly too, he could be that Posey type they hoped Green would become…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 10:21am #617839
NYCrealdealParticipantrefs were fair. they were calling it the same way the whole game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 10:52am #617842
Lotto StudParticipantVan Gundy just reminded me why I’m going to miss Mark Jackson commentating "Haaaand down Maaaan down"!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 10:56am #617845
aamir543ParticipantDang, Lebron is turning a made basket into a fast break with numbers, lol.
Miami is just too fast and athletic. Nowitzki is out of shape as hell, and the Heat are just more energetic.
The Heat, Thunder, and Bulls will run the tables and win 50+ games. The Thunder will win the tittle cause the winner of Chicago Miami will be absolutly exhausted.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 11:29am #617852
OhCanada-ParticipantJames looks complete. Miami is the favourite to win the Championship, cant tell me nothing! Dallas looks like a D-League team and better trade for a center fast. James is the best player in the league.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 11:39am #617854
j1232eParticipantThe Mavs need go get some younger players, the heat are running all over them.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 11:55am #617861
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantLebron has heard the critics and Vastly Improved his mid range game…He looks Scary right now…And IF he continues this trend into the playoffs, Watch out!!! But in other areas, the Heat look solid defensivly and the Mavs have some old parts grinding out there./..Lamar Odom just got ejected, and Dirk is certainly a little rusty and still looks like he’s dropping 25 plus points anyway…Kidd is getting old fast and Carter has fallen off the map IMO…Roddy Buckets is not going to fill the Void Barea left behind…IMO Marion and Odom must start at the 3 and 4 and Dirk needs to become the Supreme Sharp Shooting Center, Haywood needs to be the Back Up C…they absolutely need a Starting 2 and C…They need a trade to fall into their lap badly if they want to keep their Championship window open…But I have a sneaky feeling that Deron Williams signs there in the Summer of 2012 and they make a minor move for a 2 guard and sign Chris Kaman for cheap(He’d take less to play with Deron and Dirk)
Deron Williams and Dirk as the 1st and 2nd go to guys, Terry scoring off the bench, with Marion, Odom and Kaman helping on the frontline…they would be 1 starting Sg away from another 3 year Championship run…J.R Smith anyone???
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 11:57am #617862
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 12:03pm #617865
OhCanada-ParticipantI just realized James is going off like this because Delonte West is playing for the Mavs! Shouldve known something was up.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 12:04pm #617868
OhCanada-ParticipantDallas needs to start carter and bring Terry off the bench. Carter is the only Mav that had a good game. Mahinmi needs to start as well, Haywood is complete garbage.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 12:05pm #617869
IndianaBasketballParticipantHeat have problems letting teams back into the game. Let’s watch how this one ends.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 1:00pm #617881
FastAndFuriousParticipantRondo looked VERY impressive today, if that jumpshot falls like that every night and he attacks the rim THAT aggresive mannnnnnnn people will not be able to say he’s not as good because he plays with 3 HOF. He played at a very very high level today.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 1:10pm #617882
llperezf these refs. They are doing everything possible to keep the bulls in the game
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 1:34pm #617886
HaleParticipantI love how Rose is playing. His first 2 years he was too passive, and last year he was a bit too aggressive. Right now it looks like he has found that perfect middle spot and just looks like he has really grown as a pg.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 1:37pm #617888
llperezscrew magic johnson. blasting the lakers. he mispronounces devin ebanks’s name and then says thats how bad he is i dont even know his name. F that guy.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:11pm #617894
OhCanada-ParticipantHows Goudelock been doing Ive always been high on him. havent watched much of this game just did dinner.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:18pm #617895
llperezi like guedlock. He has shown confidence and shot the ball everytime he is open. And he might be the second best shooter on the lakers after kapono. I defenitely want to see him play more.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:25pm #617896
OhCanada-ParticipantMcroberts was an excellent pickup for this Lakers team. With Odom gone and Bynum injury prone having Mcroberts as a wildcard is going to workout perfectly. Also Murphy is another perfect pickup. Lakers should be fine, although like usual they have really bad PGs.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:49pm #617898
IndianaBasketballParticipantIF Lakers lose this game, blame free-throw shooting.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:51pm #617899
IndianaBasketballParticipantMcRoberts is better than what people think.
He’s not as confident and aggressive offensively as he should be. He’s really decent at everything though.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:53pm #617900
llperezi love what mcroberts brings. And he hasnt taken any dumb shots ether. He fancied himself a 3 point shooter in indiana but he has taken nothing but smart shots so far for the lakers
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:56pm #617902
llperezlakers better not choke this game away after being in control all 4th quarter
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:56pm #617903
IndianaBasketballParticipantI think the Lakers are going to be better than what people think… Even without Odom.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:58pm #617904
OhCanada-ParticipantWow.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:59pm #617905
HaleParticipantRose wow.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:59pm #617906
IndianaBasketballParticipantKobe time.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 2:59pm #617907
llperezwow, deng clearly travled on the replay. Gift for christmas bulls fans
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 3:01pm #617908
OhCanada-ParticipantDeng won this game singlehandidly. I dont know who is more pissed off llperez or Kobe.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 3:02pm #617909
llperezlakers lost it when they should have won. It sucks. But make some ft’s and dont turn it over down the stratch. Refs missed a huge travel on deng. Oh well.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 3:04pm #617910
IndianaBasketballParticipantBulls got away with quite a few calls. Cleary a travel by Deng. I thought Kobe should’ve been put on the line a lot more than he did this game.
But free-throws are why the Lakers lost this game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 3:05pm #617911
HaleParticipantWhat a great game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/25/2011 - 3:34pm #617912
aamir543ParticipantWow, Kobe should’ve taken a step back jumper on that last play. The second I saw him drive in, I had a bad feeling that it would get blocked. He can’t jump up like he used to. But nonetheless, even though I predict the Lakers to finish 5th or 6th in the West, I think Kobe will have a great season, and they will be dangerous in the playoffs, but they need to get younger and more athletic. Ilegal German surgeries cannot stop father time Kobe.
