    1. Donovan Mitchell – Utah Jazz (Steal of the Draft part 1)

2.Kyle Kuzma – Los Angles Lakers (Steal of the Draft part 2)

    3. Jayson Tatum – Boston Celtics (this trade w/ Phila might end up being an even Bigger steal than the Nets deal if Boston ends up w/ Ayton or Bagley or Porter)

    4. Ben Simmons – Phila 76ers (Fading Fast! Simmons was Tearing it up! But the League made One adjustment & Simmons & the Entire Phila coaching staff said "Oh Well they figured us out! – what can u do?")

    What do you guys think?

Yeah I definitely have Kuzma near the top.  Mitchell is producing although I am not following him as much.

SIMMONSEMBIID along with their manic fan base offer as much stability as Bitcoin.

Tatum is steady, but like Kyrie, if the C’s fall back to earth a bit more even then his stature will suffer.

Lonzo is hurt and his shot is broken (although shooting a bit better) and he is down but not out.

Don’t count out Jordan Bell either. He is producing when playing and he is playing more minutes now. Just gives the Warriors one more Mega Death Lineup. Also has sneaky telepathic chemistry with Dray, Phd. If you squint, Bell-Green is anchoring some Bad Boys-esque stuff out on the Left Coast.

Yes Beastmode…yes. Simmons is afraid to fail so he wont even put himself in a position to get his shot blocked or go to the line…ZERO FTA last night. He got intentionally fouled late in last nights game and the look on his face of having to take foul shots when the game mattered really said it all. Lucky for Ben, the foul didn’t put Denver in the penalty. His play has completely altered since the Washington game. He is constantly telling his teammates where they need to be to receive a pass or set a pick but the look on THEIR faces says, shut up and drive the lane. Brett moved Ben off ball when Malone began to intentionally foul. What will happen first- Simmons gets moved off ball permanently or Brett Brown gets fired?…or Ben Simmons takes his licks like every other rookie who DOESN’T act entitled. To answer the question, Kuzma and Mitchell battle it out only to have the award go to Tatum based on the success of Boston(Malcolm Brogdon effect)

Mitchell and Kuzma are definitely one and two, though I still expect Dennis Smith to climb as the season wears on and he increases his minutes and Dallas climbs out of the cellar.

I know Mitchell has been dope and Kuzma is the real deal but Tatum is a better defender, shooter, and the #2 option on a team that will end up with the best record in the East. The way Tatum has been able to fit into the Celtics offense and essentially be the back up shot creator behind Kyrie has worked perfectly for the Celtics. The one area where Tatum is much better than Kuzma and Mitchell is on defense. He has stepped up to the plate guarding opposing wings. From creating steals, blocking shots, and active rebounding Tatum has made a noticeable difference between this year’s team and last year’s team. Imo Tatum replacing Crowder has been just as important as the Kyrie trade.

This obviously has no bearing on the ROY race, but did anyone catch the Mavs/OKC game? Dennis Smith scored 13pts in the last 2.5 minutes to bring Dallas back and win the game. That was impressive.

All for players mentioned, Simmons, Tatum, Mitchell and Kuzma all have a good case and there is still half the season to go. But Tatum is the only one making an impact on a winning team. Plus leading or near leading the NBA and all rookies in shooting statistics while being the best defender put him TOP for mr for now.

The real question is what player deserves to be the 5th player on the all rookie team?

I don’t like him, the Lakers are losing and he’s shooting poorly, but it has to be Lonzo Ball. 10-7-7, triple doubles and a handful of standout games and so I think he’s in front.  2nd team for me is John Collins, Lauri Markannen, Frank Ntilikina,  Dennis Smith Jnr& OG from the Raps.

NBA is a business, media can talk about numbers (what they & the audience understand (aka anyone)), therefore there will be no debate — Your RoY is Ben Simmons.

    Sad but true.
