UNCbasketballbumParticipantis the one big advantage the celtics have over the heat. for the celtics to beat the heat, rondo is going to have to have the series of his life.

boshjonesfordParticipantIs Bosh playing, if he does then its gonna be difficult for the celtics to win, but then again even if he plays he proply wont be as game ready while garnett is in playoff grind mode (so PF position may be an advantage as well for the Cs) …. but i see the heats winning it, the loss of avery bradly reduces their depth.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantIf he shot all the time like he did in the 4th quarter, I think he’d be without question the top PG in the NBA, and honestly, pushing LBJ/Kobe/Durant near the top.

draft2017Participantthe heat have a huge advantage at the 2, not 100% ray allen and no bradley

JunkYardDogParticipantFunny how it turns but from the beginning of the game, watching him jump on all rebounds and dish assist after assist, I told all my friend rondo was going to make a triple double… sometimes he dominates the game so easily !
ECF : Heat in 5/6 games even if bosh doesn’t play.
Nobody can guard leBron (pietrus can help) and now that bradley is out, nobody can guard wade too… if rondo defended on wade he should getting tired or fooled out quickly.

Meditated StatesParticipantNobody can guard Rondo either. I think the Celtics will miss Bradley here a lot, but besides Lebron and Wade I don’t see any threats to be scared of on Miami. Lebron and PP go at it and thats usually a wash. I think Wade will have a big series, but if Rondo’s elbow don’t dislocate I like the Celtic chances against the Heat. God forbid you give them credit, the first thing said is if Rondo could shoot like this or they have no chance against the Heat. Rondo Owns the Heat and all season it has been personal against them. He wanted them right here. He is the best PG and he has proved it again and again. He is knocking on Legendary doors with this triple doubles yall seen the stats. By the end of this series he will likely only trail Magic Johnson and he is 25. Why don’t we talk about that? Heat will miss Bosh more in this series than against Indiana. They need Bosh for this series more than the C’s need Bradley.

IndianaBasketballParticipantWe all know how the Celtics defend LeBron and Wade. It’s not just one defender. It’s two or three. IF the Heat’s role players are hitting outside shots, it’s going to be tough for the Celtics to win. IF the Heat’s role players don’t show up, then this could be a 6 or 7 game series.

Malik-UniversalParticipanti see this being a 5 or 6 game series for the heat….. the games will likely be pretty close of course
i just dont see how they contain wade one bit

Meditated StatesParticipantBradley never played last year against him. Celtics close the middle plain and simple. Not picking a winner but it goes seven. Rondo controls the pace of the games and it will not be fast brake basketball. C’s were done they should blow up the team right? Haters. Already exceeded expectations. Actually Bosh hitting open jumpers at the end of the shot clock last year hurt the C’s bad. Bosh does not explode cause of KG, but last year he hurt them bad. They would lockl the Heat up until the shot clock was about to sound and ball movement would find Bosh and he hurt them with last second shots. I like the C’s with no Bosh there. Best defensive team in Basketball will not get beat in 5 vs two players they are very familiar with limiting.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI worry about the Celtics putting up points more than I do them defending. Hero basketball won’t beat the Celtics as easily as it did the Pacers in my opinion.
One other issue I see with the Celtics is they don’t really have an advantage in the paint. The Pacers were able to win two games because they were bigger and beat them on the glass. Celtics won’t do that.
I see this series going 6 games… 7 maybe if the Heat’s role players don’t make outside shots.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThe Celtics have struggled to put up points this season and the only way to beat the Heat is to out-rebound them and put up points. The Celtics are terrible offensive rebounders, hell, the Celtics are the worst rebounding team this season.
Regardless though, if Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo have huge games here and there, I can see this series being a tough one for both teams. Wade is going to have a field-day, The Truth and LeBron always go at it, Rondo loves playing against the Heat it seems. And with no Bosh, Garnett can focus on the offensive end of the floor.
If Miller, Haslem, Battier, Jones, and Chalmers can knock down their jumpers consistently; it’s a 5 game series.
If they can’t, it could go 7.
