4th dimensionIt all starts with footwork. The quicker you set your feet to get ready to shoot, the more efficient you will become as a shooter. You can release your shot as quick as you can, BUT if your feet is not set properly, that shot will not go in, so it defeats the purpose of becoming a quicker shooter. Practice on your footwork and everything else will fall into place.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI say you just practice shooting quicker. I have 2 shots. I have my average jump shot when I’m completely wide open and I have my quick shot when I’m coming off screens. You just gotta practice it and do whatever feels comfortable whens shooting.

Meditated StatesParticipantwith the pass and fire away. Keep practicing that. If your by yourself backspin the ball back to yourself and fire quickly. Throw the ball up a little and spin it so when it hits the ground it bounces to you and fire away. Keep practicing it will happen and yeah he’s right focus on having your feet ready to be set on the catch. Also imagining someone is chasing and challengeing your shot when you come off the pick.

jjonzParticipantPractice hard & here’s another thought have your friend get a stop watch to see how long it takes you to get your shot off. R.Allen catchNshoot was something like 00733. I can’t remember the exact time but they timed his release a couple weeks ago when Lakers played Celtics. Find R.Allen workouts online, RMiller workouts. Buy the book 5 star basketball drills. Hope you get better.
