Notes: This division will be relatively competitive as I think Indiana improved quite a bit in the offseason with the additions of Lamb, TJ Warren, TJ McConnell and of course Brogdon. Milwaukee adding Robin Lopez, Kyle Korver, Wesley Matthews and retaining George Hill as veteran leaders is underrated. Chicago has young pieces and they’ll be improved but teams with rookie point guards can certainly struggle. Detroit is sort of what they always are: middle of the pack. Their starting wings are one of the worst duos in the NBA. Adding Joe Johnson, Markieff Morris and Derrick Rose for instant bench offense was a great move by their front office however. Cleveland will have another tough year – I imagine their young backcourt will take their lumps defensively and their bench is quite bad, as is Chicago’s.
Expected order of finish:
1) Milwaukee
2) Indiana
3) Detroit
4) Chicago
5) Cleveland

festar35ParticipantWouldn’t be a thread without a bit of disagreement. For the most part I like your numbers, but I’m 100% certain that we start TJ Warren at SF. The numbers I see from our guys are:
PG. Brogdon 15.5ppg/4rpg/5.5apg
SG. Oladipo 19.5ppg/5rpg/4.5apg/2spg
SF. Warren 16ppg/4.2rpg/1.5apg
PF. Sabonis 15ppg/11.2rpg/4apg
C. Turner 14.1ppg/8.2rpg/2apg/2.8bpg
Oladipo is said to be under extensive load management when he returns from his injury, Sabonis averaged 3apg on only 24mpg & I can see him being used as a playmaker along with Oladipo as well as Brogdon so only see his assists going up joining the starting line-up.

CoachWyersParticipantChicago will go Carter, Markannen, Porter, Lavine, Dunn
Detroit will go Drummond, Griffin, Snell, Brown, Jackson
Indiana will go Turner, Sabonis, Warren, Oladipo, Brogdon

CoachWyersParticipantCasey loves Brown especially what he brings on the defensive end. They like Kennard in a 6th man role.

ChewyParticipantBoylen is another "old school" coach like Scott Skiles: Which is a nice way of saying he’s just an @^$%&%.
I would be very surpised if a coach like that gives the reins to a rookie PG. Even tho White is extremely talented and has huge upside to be a top 10 PG in the future, I think we start lame ducks like Dunn or Harrison for most of the season.

SwatLakeCityParticipantChicago won’t start White right away. At first Dunn will start with Satoransky and White as backups. Unless Dunn gets traded in February, then White might not start at all this year!! (Sorry to all those wanting to draft White in their fantasy drafts. He likley won’t get much playing time unless Dunn is traded.) And Porter was killing it after the trade deadline last year. I think he can still average about 15-20 especially now that he has an entire offseason under his belt in Chicago. I also think that Wendell Carter Jr. can average a double double if he stays healthy the entire season.
How is it that you believe the Pacers improved immensely by getting Warren yet not saying they will start him? And the frontcourt will be Sabonis at the 4 and Turner at Center, you can guarantee it. Pacers have been hinting at that ever since they traded for Sabonis and Oladipo like 2 years ago!!
Detroit is going to really suck if they end up starting Kennard and Snell. Griffin and Drummond can’t do everything, yet their offense depends on them to do exactly that???
Cleveland drafted Garland with the intent to play both him and Sexton together. Sexton doesn’t pass like at all. (I think he only averaged like 3 assists last year, when I expected him to average about 5!!!) So if he doesn’t pass then why start him at PG? I’ve heard Garland being compared to Damian Lillard, and he plays point for the Blazers. So if Garland is compared to him, I know he isn’t there yet, but why can’t he play at point instead of the two guard his rookie year? (they are going to suck anyways, so they are better off to play their young guys at the position that suits them best. That’s point for Garland and the 2 guard for Sexton.) I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Cavs start Nance over Thompson or even Zizic.

festar35ParticipantThese are my Pacers numbers while Oladipo is out, I don’t see our big men having much of a change of roles with Victor out. It’s on Warren, Brogdon & of course Lamb to make up a big chunk of what Victor brings to the table.
C. Turner 14.2/8/2
PF. Sabonis 15.8/12/4
SF. Warren 18/5/1
SG. Lamb 14/5/3
PG. Brogdon 17.5/4.5/5.50 - Posted on: Wed, 09/25/2019 - 12:01pm #1137718
cohenbc1ParticipantChicago: I don’t know who will start but if they are trying to win games this year Thad Young will finish, and get 30 minutes per game. That dude just does everything right.
Cleveland: If they’re building around Sexton and Garland, it doesn’t make much sense to pair a 19- and 20-year old backcourt with the Love and Thompson frontcourt. Love is probably untradeable, but move the expiring contracts of Thompson and Henson and play Nance & Zizic.
Detroit: Wow, the Joe Johnson of 2017-18 would be the best wing on this team. How do teams end up with lineups like this?
Indiana: Yes they gained Brogdon, Warren, Lamb, McConnell. But don’t forget they lost Collison, Bogdanovic, Young, Joseph, Evans. Basically they gained scorers, but lost a lot of defense, toughness and savvy. A lateral move.
Milwaukee: Another lateral move. They lost a lot of shooting in Brogdon, Mirotic and Snell. The Korver of 4 or 5 years ago would make up for all of it, but Quin Snyder felt that Korver wasn’t a rotation player last playoffs.
Milwaukee 57-25
Indiana 48-34
Detroit 42-40
Chicago 27-55
Cleveland 24-580 - Posted on: Mon, 09/30/2019 - 12:05pm #1137793
TRC1991ParticipantI definitely think Warren will get the start until Oladipo returns from injury
