notes: Hornets could go in a variety of directions, sort of a guess there on their starters. Magic didn’t do enough to improve this offseason. Heat or Magic are the faves to win the Southeast. Wizards will be horrible. Hornets too. Hawks will be much improved and could push Orlando/Miami. This division is pretty bad and lacks star power. Lots of young players with potential though.

 I agree with the majority of your picks for starters. Haven’t really delved into the stats yet.

With Orlando, could they start Aminu at SF and let Isaac be 6th man? I think I’m in the minority on this one, but I’d like to have the veteran Aminu in there if you’re thinking about getting into the playoffs. Then you can have Isaac come in for Aminu or Gordon.

Washington is just a hodge podge of random averager, to below average players other than Beal. Could Thomas push Smith to be the starting PG? Will they start the younger Brown instead of the shooter Miles? I don’t think either of those changes will drastically change anything in team success.

Charlotte- Zeller/Bridges/Bacon/Batum/Rozier

Miami- Adebayo/Olynyk/Butler/Waiters/Dragic

 I think Rozier is going to score a lot more than that. Charlotte will be really bad. You know when you play on a bad pickup team with no chemistry, and whoever brings the ball up the court usually ends up shooting it? That’s going to be the Hornets, and Rozier.

Everything else seems totally reasonable. If you are close to correct on the Hawks’ stats, that looks like the profile of a high-powered offense.

Also, what are your predictions for wins/losses? I’ll say:

Orlando 45-37
Miami 42-40
Atlanta 39-43
Charlotte 24-58

 Never been a Miles Bridges fan but Batum has been not good for the past couple of seasons.

I think malik monk will outscore Bridges.

I like the lineups you have except for one. I may be in the minority here but I like Meyers Leonard starting next to Bam. Liked what he did in the playoffs last year for the Blazers. Still think Olynyk fits best off the bench. His shooting and boards seems to go south when he starts. Looks more fresh off the bench. Leonard and Olynyk could be in a bit of a timeshare.

I also think Bam will average a double double. When Whiteside was out last year and Bam started he was able to average a double double. Why wouldn’t he do that now that Whiteside is in Portland? True, Butler wasn’t there last year, so there wasn’t much scoring to go around. But I don’t think that will make much difference. Butler does fit with the Heat, and he will appreciate the defense his teammates bring, therefore he will continue to get them involved instead of him doing all the scoring.
