Lotto StudParticipantWhich NBA players would you like to see stay on the same team, because you see that it may be beneficial for them to stay put.
Here is my list
- Boobie Gibson
- J.R. Smith
- Monta Ellis
- Jonny Flynn
- Bill Walker
- Lou Williams
- Jerryd Bayless
- Nick Young

IknoBall12Participanti also feel like bayless and and monta should stay. but id really like to see jr get more of a feature role honestly. The way jordan crawford plays i think nick young may be expendable

Hmmmmmmmm…..What happened the last time the Wiz got rid of a potential star shooting guard?????
Rip Hamilton=3 All Star appearences 1 Championship
This 1 will FOREVER bite them in the a** if they get rid of Nick.

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree with i know ball. Ellis and Bayless really fit into their systems well. Everyone says Toronto need s a pass first PG, but why. Derozan is quickly becoming a very good half court and transition scorer one on one. bargnani is a proven scorer and he abuses opposing bigs out on the perimeter and posts up smaller wings who try to gaurd him. Then with Bayless also a great one on one scorer you have offense for days. At SF and PF Toronto needs to get utility guys that play hard nosed D and can hit open jumpers, Klieza and James Johnson wont be able to provide the defense (maybe JJ will with a hard offseason but I doubt it. At PF Amir and Ed have to continuedeveloping their jumpers.
If Bargnani played defense this team would be very good.

BKKnicksfanParticipantThe only problem with that logic Memphis is: Nick Young is a potential star.
I think of all the guys on this list, Bayless should stay. I think all those players need to move around.

WizardofOzParticipantI just don’t understand why people think the Wizards should get rid of Nick. If Nick leaves, other then Crawford, the Wizards have no SG depth. And just because they get another talented player, why does the other talented player have to leave? Doesn’t it benefit a team to have more talent?
I still stand pat on my stance saying that Nick should be the starter and that Crawford should be the 6th man. I would definitely keep Nick if we can sign him cheap, but I wouldn’t overpay him.

WizardofOzParticipantOut of everyboy on that list, I think Bayless, Walker, and Young should stay with their teams.

Value. I think you can trade Nick for a more suitable BACKUP shooting guard, if you want Crawford to start. That, or you can get a 1st round pick for him as well.

YurpleHazEParticipantAs a wizards fan i want to obviously see him stay….but as a huge nick young fan i want to see he him go onto a contender or a playoff team in general and maximize his true value(hopefully)……..

Lotto StudParticipantNick will not have the same impact he had this year on a contending squad because he will not be the #1 option. He will be another lost soul with a Superstar who gets the ball ran through them more than Nick. Nick is a special kind’ve player, because he cannot play for a contender.

What kind of ridiculousness is that?

Lotto StudParticipantI stand by what I say Nick will not be a starter on a contender & I don’t see him fitting the role of a 6th man well with a contender. He wouldn’t play well with a LeBron or Wade coming in off the bench, Nick would be a lost soul on the court. Not the same type of player, but both Nick Young & Ben Gordon give the same type of production as starters & it would be like putting Ben Gordon on the bench as a 6th man for a contender.
List some best 6th man contending team scenarios for me with Nick

omphalosParticipantYeah I want Bayless to stick too. I hope Toronto goes for Williams, Barnes or Kanter ahead of Irving, SF and C are the biggest problems, the Toronto team is the right C away from being a playoff team in the East in my opinion.

nateoak10ParticipantMonta has put in so much here I honestly could see him here his whole career, he said b4 the year to prove a point he wanted to play all 82 games and he played through injuries and falls thatd knock most guys out for 10 or more games. In the 80th game he didnt miss a game but suffered a grade 2 concussion and missed the last 2. Know what he did in the 82nd game at home? Although he was ruled out he got fully dressed in full uniform and sat on the bench. He’s committed here and has said that he only wants to turn the corner here.
I feel like Louis should stay in Philly but I also have a bad feeling some team will offer him a huge contract when he’s a FA . He does have some real potential. JR Smith and Nick Young really have become a huge part of their teams as well and put so much in for both squads
I also think Jason Terry is a guy who should never leave Dallas, he’s become a true leader their and one of the only Mavs player who shows true passion

cavairo7ParticipantKwame Brown should stay put because only the Bobcats would ever start him.

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantellis definitely needs to stay….bayless also if toronto continues to give him major playing time.

B-ball fanParticipantIt may benefit Ellis to stay, but it would benefit the Warriors to trade him. Curry can take over more ball handling, and they can get a sg who can play defense.
