dlsaleParticipantWhat are the chances PJ Hairston moves up into the lottery? He has been doing stuff like this all season in the D-League.

TarHeelRavenParticipantPj is a lottery talent but there are too many red flags about his character for any team to take a chance on him that high. If he had avoided his summer of fun and played for North Carolina this year and had an all acc and all American type season, then he definitely could’ve gone in he lottery.

dlsaleParticipantI’m not sure why everyone is so apt to say performing highly in college is better than performing highly in the D-League. The D-League is made up of so many former college stars it’s ridiculous. Hairston himself was even quoted as saying something along the lines of in college, guards are 6’1" and 6’2". In the NBDL, those same talents are 6’5" and 6’6. It’s playing against men instead of amateurs.
Here’s what Hairston did in his very first game, and then he dropped 40 in his second game.

HaleParticipantIn college you work as more of a unit. In the D-League it’s more about individually shining so you get a chance to play in the NBA. The D-League is a joke. Darius Washington Jr. at Memphis had career averages of 15.4 ppg 3.6 rpg and 3.8 apg. In his short NBA D-League stint he averaged 25 ppg 8 rpg and 5.2 apg and it didn’t translate to the NBA at all. In fact, he never played an NBA game after his D-League stint. Just look at the top individual player each year in the D-league and see where they went. It’s almost always nowhere.

Lotto StudParticipantGreat assessment man! I absolutely say one can conclude this is why Pierre Jackson isn’t getting the looks everyone thinks he should.

drice4life1753ParticipantReally depends on interviews and if there are enough other players who can do things to move up the board. I will say he definitely has the game, age, and potential to be a lottery pick, and I would take him over someone like TJ Warren…but let’s be honest the NBA hates head cases and has some of the craziest logic when it comes to drafting. As of right now there just seems to be too many players w/ less red flags than him and good potential (the golden word) to take him in the lottery…but all it takes is one team.

Sabdiego12345678Participantwhy would you ever take him over warren? warren is a much better player with more potential and less problems also scoring in the dleaugue is easier due to lack of defense there is no logical reason to take pj of tj unless you are just a unc homer

dlsaleParticipantWarren is neither a much better player nor does he have more potential. He has no range; he doesn’t shoot well outside the paint, even from the college three, let alone the NBA three.

Sabdiego12345678Participantwarren is a capable 3pt shooter he just has had bad shot selection this year and he fades often,, for his career he has shot .314 from 3 and he does shoot well outside the paint he is money eveywhere in the midrange and in what aspect is hariston a better player scoring nope, rebounding nope, passing nope, steals nope, sensing a trend here… he has an advantage in two stats 3pt% and turnovers thats it and thats while he is in the deleague which is easier to produce in

Sabdiego12345678Participantthe thing ive noticed about pj is he has only had 1 game with more than 2 assist and is averaging .8 assists that is horible for a gaurd and he is not terribly efficent either
