Patty Mills has proven to anyone who has watched him all season long just how good he can be with limited minutes. So why do the Blazers continue to not play him? Andre Miller was an all star sure but it seems that only JJ Barea is able to ignite a home crowd with hustle and energy and an underdog attitude more than Patty. Even with averages of almost 6 points and 2 assists in just over 11 minutes, give him a decent starting guards minutes of say 30 minutes and your getting about 17ppg and 6apg. Surely looking at those numbers is enough to make a believer out of anybody, and if not add to the fact that his skills and confidence will only grow with more minutes and those averages could be bumped up to 20ppg and 8apg. Compare that with Andre Miller’s 12.7ppg and 7apg in almost 33 minutes and it makes no sense either in the future or now for Portland not to be increasing Mills’ court time and hopefully helping carry the Blazers back to the top of the basketball world.

Portland has quite a few good young players.. It won’t take them long to develop.. Imagine if Roy was back to 100% this past year, they would have been ready to fly already..  I’ve never been a huge Andre Miller fan but he has been a very stablizing influence on all of the young guns he distributes the ball too.. the time might just be right to start handing the reigns over though, and patty mills isn’t a bad call..
