With N.O. pretty much stuck with trying to please Paul, Collison overrated and many NBA teams already having an established PG this trade maybe suitable for both teams. I know Nohla fans would love it, but how about Pacers fans. New Orleans needs to put impact players around Paul and needs to do it immediatly.

With the Pacers rebuilding with a young athletic nucleus a key acquisition would be to pickup a long term PG. Weve seen many NBA players upset with playing in losing situations this year, and why would Granger be an exception,I dont see Granger wanting to stick around on potentially one of the 5 worst teams in baskletball and who could blame him with the bar being set by James leaving a 60+ win team, Bosh leaving a 500 team etc.

As a Pacers fan, I hate it.

Taking on the salaries of *Okafor* AND Posey is just too much. Especially if we’re not getting Chris Paul.

i dont like it for the pacers. Posey and okafor are bad contracts while granger is their best player. A lot of those pieces like brackins, wright and future consderations are just throw in pieces that dont mean much. I think the pacers would like to add collison, but not at the expense of losing granger and a lot of their cap space for next summer.

A lot of players and I think it’s a little overthought. Depending how well Paul George and Darren Collison do, I wouldn’t mind a base deal Danny and Dahntay Jones for Collison, Peja, Marcus Thornton, and this year’s first rounder.

i dont think the pacers are ready to make a trade, i think they are happy with the capspace they will be getting at the end of the year and want to see these young guys play first. i think new orleans best chance would be maybe portland, maybe collison for nic batum and jerryd bayless but portland reportedly turned down the #4 pick straight up for batum so i doubt that. i dont think new orleans has many options for a good swingman.

Well the Pacers actually get more money next year with that move. Over 10 million more. I can see the Pacers brass just cutting Peja if they make that deal cause he’s on the last year of his 13 million dollar contract. The Hornets then get a deeply desired wing threat that they’ve needed since…… dear god Glen Rice? lol and thanks Jemmin.

Why would the Pacers do it?

Unless of course Larry Bird is on Meth, in which his health concerns are more of an issue than this trade.

They can afford to lose Granger with Stephenson and George in there.

You’ll have to wait until I submit my vote to butidonthavemoney. I don’t know why he continues to use Morse Code to deliver messages.

Why if your Indiana would you make that move? Paul would leave anyway in 2 years.

I think the Pacers are someone to watch out for. I could see them being a top 5 free throw shot attempts team because Hansbrough, Hibbert, Stephenson and George are attackers.

We have seen what Okafor and Posey are going to pan out to be and that’s a huge burden on our cap space. After this season we will finally be able to make some moves again. It’s been a long time since this team has been relevant and trading for mediocre players that will hamper cap space for a point guard makes absolutely no sense especially since it involves trading our best player, large cap space and solid defensive player that meshes with our current roster.

While it’s true that the team needs a point guard, taking back some awful contracts and trading away the best player to do so is an absolute no. Let’s also not forget that we are trading out more white people than we are taking in. Obvious no.

Yea….. I’d rather possibly use the money on Al Horford, Rodney Stuckey, Carmelo, or any other of the free agents this next offseason. Hell, next year I’d even look to take on long contracts that people wanna get rid of for a 2nd round pick. Larry is not making hasty decisions and I applaude him for it. I’m not letting 30+ million vanish next year for Emeka Okafor and James Posey, sorry.

Chris Paul is worth more then like the State of Indiana, nothing on that roster could get him.

Well I think the Pacers could actually get get CP3 if the Hornets REEEEAAALLLLYYYYY wanted to drop cap and start over. I had this idea.

    Indiana gets:
    Chris Paul
    Emeka Okafor
    James Posey

    New Orleans gets:
    Troy Murphy
    Jeff Foster
    TJ Ford
    2011 1st round pick
    2013 1st round pick
(You can’t trade consecutive first rounder so 2012 wouldnt be possible)

The Hornets unload almost 50 million dollars after this year and add two first rounders. If I was New Orleans I would honestly have to think about it if I’m looking to rebuild. They probably are bad this year after they would trade all these players so they would certainly have a top 10 pick along with the Pacers one. Add on Marcus Thorton and Darren Collison you could have a great team in less than 5 years.
