druneave3ParticipantKyrie! Top 5 PG
Like Barkley I thought Boston improved with all of their many aquisitions over the offseason. However, much like last year their defense struggled, allowing 120 points. They were late on rotations, slow footed on P&R, and allowed too many easy baskets and uncontested shots. I never thought they would be a real threat to Miami but perhaps they will struggle more than I had originally thought. Still early but Jeff Green looked really rusty. I have never been a fan of his but he looked bad.
Miami- Yea they smashed Boston but they got out rebounded and have no rim protector. They need to acquire a big somehow. LeBron admitted last year that playing the 4 spot took a toll on his body, just wait til he plays an entire year like that, taking that physical pounding night after night. They won with this formula last year but I feel like they can beat by pounding the ball down low and consistently attacking the rim with Bosh/Lebron being their bigs. But what team has the size and talent to do so?
I picked the Lakers to finsih 5th in the West. Having a ball dominant point guard along with Kobe doesn’t make sense. Howards back scares me as it is still "achy" and don’t think he perpetuates winning. They will probably finish better than 5th but Mike Brown will gone soon.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantMiami gave up the second fewest points in the paint last year. They don’t need some imaginary "rim protector." It is quite possibly the best defensive team in the league right now.
The Lakers will be fine. Both the offense and defense will come together. The Heat started 10-8 before finding their rhythm, and there is no reason to believe it won’t for the Lakers too. I am far more concerned about the minute loads of Nash, Kobe, and Howard. The Pau Walton experience might be fun, but I would rather him not play 40 minutes in a game in the month of October.

ballaj334ParticipantListen Kyrie is good and is going to be great… but top 5?now? c’mon man. Drose,Rondo,Dwill,CP3,Tparker,westbrook. HE played out against a Walless wizards team. You cant appoint him a top 5 pg after a injury filled rookie season and one good game against a week walless wizards team. He is good but not top 5 right now.

kingofbumsParticipanti would say he is better than TP right now though. he is really coming into his own, especially after what he did to team usa at the scrimmage

Mr. 19134ParticipantChris Bosh looks really good this year and I see no reason why he can’t be a dominant CENTER in the East. No Reason.
