Since Larry Drew II is gone, this should mean there is a open scholarship for UNC to take on a transfer. I am quite sure if Marcus Jordan is willing to transfer out from UCF, Roy Williams will accept him.

What do you think about Roy Williams filling the void of an open scholarship he has available to him?

If i was Marcus Jordan i would stay right where i am and continue to make my own name. I really think he could possibly play his way into the NBA at some point. I think UCF is the perfect place for him. There is not alot of hype and media around the program an he can continue to improve without being under a microscope ala Harrison Barnes.

What about giving it to Jackson Simmons?

No way Jordan leaves UCF for UNC. Why put all that pressure on yourself for no reason?

no chance McDunkin- Roy wouldn’t waste a "ship" on Jackson for 4 years.

Roy won’t use the scholarship the next year and thats when it comes off the books. I’m sure Roy will roll with his 10 scholarship players, plus the walk-ons. UNC also has offers for Desmond Hubert and Angelo Chol for 2011 class.

I think Roy will save his scholarships for the 2012 and 2013 classes. I would say Roy signs 4-5 guys for 2012 class.

UNC will be in trouble if they have anyone leave for draft next year- even worse if Henson or Zeller leaves. McAdoo and Watts (Who’s 6-4, but plays PF) would be only big guys left.

I think Hubert will be a Tarheel without question. He waited this long to make a decision and all it was due to the fact that he didn’t have an offer from UNC yet.

I watch as many of Hubert’s games as I can since I live about 40 minutes from his high school and the kid is without question gifted on the defensive end.

He will end up redshirting at UNC if he goes there and Roy boy will have him in the gym and getting his offensive game in check. He has no go-to moves on offense and whe he faces others his size he has issues offensively when they get physical with him.

With a year in the weight room and under the tutelage there at UNC, this kid could really be special. He is extremely quick up and down the court and couple that with his superior shot blocking ability he could really blossom under the wing of the UNC coaching staff.

Not to mention how great of a kid he is…..

For Hubert it will come down to whether or not he wants to play right away. Maryland has a need for him now, while at UNC he would unquestionably need to sit out a year to perfect his game and body.

I still think that he goes UNC though…I think you guys will be pleased with him when he gets there.
