FastAndFuriousParticipantI got OKC winning tonight.

FastAndFuriousParticipantWestbrook off to a hot start 9 of OKC’s 11 points.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantKidd may be one of the best defenders the PG position has ever seen. but he is just too slow for Westbrook. Nobody can keep up with this kid.. Especially if he has that stop-on-a-dime pull up jumper going for him. Scary.

I May Be WrongParticipantI got OKC tonight by 6 points. Westbrook making his shots early and honestly, Delonte and Kidd are going to have a tough time staying in front of him. They could try Marion on him in spurts but then KD will have a weaker defender. Dallas has to pick their poision as far as scorers tonight.

Johnny ChillLooks like the OKC fans didn’t get the color memo. I thought it was a Mavs home game for a quick second.

ProudGrandpaParticipantI am about to use big scary swear words just for you.
GET YOUR LITTLE BITCH ASS OFF THIS SITE AND DROP THAT STUPID JUSTIN BIEBER LOVER SHIT. NO ONE IS TAKING YOUR SIDE IN YOUR SORRY LITTLE CAMPAIGN AGAINST NBAnNFLGuy. YOU USED TO BE A DECENT POSTER BUT NOW YOU ARE THE SITE’S ULTIMATE DOUCHE.
Mavericks are playing good, tho. Brendan Haywood is all over the offensive glass.

Johnny ChillDid u just try to tell me to get off this site? Who are u to do that?

ProudGrandpaParticipantDoes it matter who I am? EVERYONE thinks you should get off the site!
Man, if Ibaka keeps shutting Dirk down like this, it’s gonna be a quick series.

Johnny ChillIt doesn’t matter who u r. In fact I will continue to post here. Unless u own this site, u shouldn’t tell anyone to leave.

ProudGrandpaParticipantI don’t have the power to make you leave. (You better not piss off any mods, though) Consider it a strong suggestion.
Ian Mahinmi is the worst player in the league.

I May Be WrongParticipantRussell Westbrook has been on point tonight. He should be sitting at 5 assists but only has 2 right now since OKC is missing easy buckets. But still, he looks under control and is keeping them in it right now. I’m still waiting for KD to really take advantage of a weaker defender like VC. So far, haven’t really seen it

ChrisCrossParticipantIt’s amazing how Nowitzki makes these rediculous shots, a beauty to watch.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/28/2012 - 4:50pm #665168
aamir543Participant^Proud Gramps, you haven’t seen Chris Wright and Mickell Gladness play, they don’t do anything well really.
Durant started off terribly, he’s missing very easy shots, he’ll get on track, love what Westbrook is doing, knocking down shots, James Harden is getting to the bucket nicely, Dirk is off, but the Mavs are still up, should be a good series, but not as quick as we think, I’ll say OKC in 6 or 7, but if Dirk gets going for 27 a game I can very well see Dallas pulling off the upset, however Durant and Westbrook are just too much, imagine how unstopable Durant will be when he develops a Kobe-esque post game, he can do that because his midrange game is so smooth, He’ll continue to work on his handles, and only get better, but like I read in Bill Simmons’ article yesterday, this team is like the 87 Pistons, 90 Bulls, 99 Lakers, enough talent but just needs one more year of experience to go off and create thier dynasty, but I still love OKC’s chances in the West.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDallas won’t go down easy. This is a playoff, not reg season team. You can throw what they did and didn’t do during the regular season out of the window.

scbe2223ParticipantThat off balance shot off the glass by Dirk towards the end of the half was a thing of beauty. I couldn’t hit that shot in 100 attempts.

Future_Scout’s board""Kidd may be one of the best defenders the PG position has ever seen. but he is just too slow for Westbrook.""
100% agreed, kidd is better off defending someone who is not that quick. he would do a better job against some1 like kobe
*we talking about the most athletic PG in the league in westbrook0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/28/2012 - 5:33pm #665190
scbe2223ParticipantI love James Hardens game and his beard, but he has had a few silly turnovers tonight. Very unlike him

204ballerParticipantWhy is everyone couting Dallas out. No one gave them a chance last year, and no one is giving them a chance this year. I remember last year even though they had Chandler, Stevenson and Peja, 99 percent of the nba world had them losing to the TrailBlazers lol. Even though they lost Chandler and Stevenson they got West, that can handle the ball and Carter and Mahimi has mad great improvements. I know Haywood doesnt have the same defensive presence but there is really no dominant big man in the playoffs, besides Laker Bigs. Mavericks can still score and if a team has a off night, Dallas can still out SCORE any team.

TyroberParticipantCrazy shot. Very well defended but got the bounce. Great game

Krypt14ParticipantDurant is the man! The guy on nba.com said it best ‘great D but even better O’ Shawn Marion did all he could do as an elite defender, got help from a 6’11” guy and Durant still made the shot. He is incredible!

Anton123ParticipantWeird that people haven’t said anything about Ibaka, he had an absolutely terrific game, if you count out the game winner, he probably had a better overall game than KD
22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks, 0 turnovers on 75% shooting
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/28/2012 - 10:00pm #665262
Future_Scout’s board^ yea ibaka and harden were essential to thunder’s win, as usual.
to me the mvp was westbrook tho
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 6:24am #665316
omphalosParticipantI find it hilarious that people were saying that Kidd was too slow to guard Westbrook, and then he forced two awkward turnovers. Yes, his feet are slow, but his hands are lightning quick, remember the job he did defensively against Miami?
Ibaka deserves a lot of credit for this one, that and-one dunk off the Durant pass was brutal, just a straight up power move.
People are going to look at the box score and say that Westbrook played well, but I don’t care how many times it goes in, seeing Westbrook dribble near the FT line and take a jumper without even looking to pass or having Thunder players in position to rebound still makes me cringe. Russ was having an unusually good shooting night, but too many times in the first half you could just tell he wasn’t even thinking about passing. The Thunder got competitive once Harden started directing traffic. I know this comes off as me hating on Russ, but I want the Thunder to be successful, and he still has a lot of work to do in learing the point.

CynthiaParticipantThis is already the best series in the playoffs!!! I wish all playoff games were this close/intense!!!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 6:42am #665322
omphalosParticipant@Cynthia; not sure if it qualifies as the best series, game 1 is still just game 1, and half of the series haven’t even played yet, but it’s far and away the best game played thus far.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 6:55am #665325
CynthiaParticipantWell I meant so far, obviously.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/29/2012 - 7:39am #665343
aamir543ParticipantThunder need some contribution from some other guys, I know Ibaka had a good game, but outside Ibaka, Westbrook, Harden, and Durant(who all had at least 19 each) there were only 5 points scored all by Sefelosha, which means only 5 guys scored the shole game, they need Cook to knock down some shots, and I don’t care what they say about Fisher’s leadership, leave that in the locker room, he can’t play anymore, give Reggie Jackson some run, good game but the Mavs actually have a legit shot at this, don’t count them out, but Dirk needs to have some monster legendary games.
