FastAndFuriousParticipantGood game on NBATV
Boston up 24-32
Perry Jones looking like a HUGE steal so far, 10pts,4boards already in 1st half.
Jared Sullinger,Reggie Jackson also standing out as well.

Jar Of Funky CrumbsParticipantI like his production but he still looks uncomfortable at times. He made one aggressive move during the early stages of the game that was absolutely out of his nature which impressed the hell out of me lol I just wish he had that " killer " inside of him throughout the whole game.

For_Never_EverParticipantI was so disappointed when the Celtics didn’t take Perry Jones in the draft.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI have this feeling that if PJIII had gone to Miami that team would have it LOCKED UP for the next few years. He might not be the best fit there either (I don’t see how PJIII complements Durant and Ibaka), but Miami could go with a Perry Jones, LeBron, and Bosh front line. With Haslem and Battier off the bench up front, and a back court of Wade, Chalmers, Ray Allen, and Norris Cole. Joel Anthony and Dexter Pittman come back as token centers with Mike Miller and James Jones coming back as shooters off the bench.
For OKC a lineup of Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Perry Jones, and Ibaka has immense potential though. We could look back in a few years and realize that they won this draft. PJIII could be the guy off the bench as a fourth scorer and another athletic finisher who could put them over the top and help the Thunder win a title.

mattmancalcagnoParticipantThe man can not be stopped!! Im not a celtics or a sullinger fan but he is gonna be a nice piece for the C’s

TheBigEasyParticipantIndeed really enjoying Sulllinger. The way he uses his body to create room, excellent!

David Stern a.k.a. da muthaf@cking leader of da kryptsParticipantDionte Christmas looks solid scoring the ball. Too bad he’s a little bit undersized for a Sg.

TheBigEasyParticipantReggie Jackson also impressive just as Kris Joseph.

Anton123ParticipantI feel OKC isn’t good at developing bigs at all, Aldrich isn’t good, he’s no more than a defender and hustle player – a somewhat weaker quicker Perkins. But OKC seems to just stash their bigs away without giving them much of a chance, I can’t believe none of their bigs wanted to improve
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/09/2012 - 9:07am #693740
TripleDoubleScoutParticipantSerge ibaka has improved every year since his rookie season. The only other bigs to develop weren’t on the roster and wont be till next year

Malik-UniversalParticipantgood thing ive never questioned fab melo’s shotblocking ability since he was in a zone at ‘cuse
dude has such good instincts…….. at least on the defensive end

WizardofOzParticipantCole Aldrich fucking sucks.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/09/2012 - 9:18am #693749
jaysmith1987ParticipantJared Sullinger is probably the secobd best power forward out of this draft. Also Melo Is goin to be a much needed shot blocker. Kris Joseph looks like a super steal. He looks to be a guy who can score and give great d.
For Okc Perry was much more agressive and will at least be a valuable role player in the nba. Cole aldrich on other hand looked overmatched. Hes just a guy who runs and dives all over court. If okc can trade Aldrich while he still jas value they should.

SonicSabotuerEidolonWhere did all the sully fans come from? thats funny …….most ppl on this website said when they look at him they see glen davis but thoughts change I guess.
But perry wouldnt have been a good fit in mia and they wouldnt have been a lock for the next few years by drafting him. They already have enough forwards and him competeing deep in the playoffs against quality big men(center) would be his worst nightmare he impressed me also tho.Okc was the perfect spot for him he has time Mia has made a team that has to win now before wade isn’t playing at the level he is plays now and bosh, wade lebron promised to win a championship every year before their contracts end. Perry would need those year to develope and mia doesnt have the time to wait but OKC does

TheBigEasyParticipantNot a Sully fan and I still wait and see before I form my opinion on Sullinger as a NBA player, but nevertheless he showed some nice moves and I liked his two way game.

Sewok15ParticipantI like his game a lot and many people said the same things about Kevin Love when he came into the league. I am not saying he is going to be a perennial all star like Love but he will be a very solid starting PF for Boston as long as he is healthy. I am just glad that Boston drafted Melo instead of PJ3 because if they would have gotten both of those guys they would have been well on their way to reloading.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantI’ve been a sully fan from day one just like I was a KLove fan. Man on here just don’t like players if they aren’t jumping out of the gym or aren’t very tall or long, they tend to not understand or ignore the skill stand point of basketball

rileymcshea3ParticipantThe one guy I wanted the mavs to draft was perry jones ,he has top 5 potential at 17 and he is from Duncanvill which is close to Dallas
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/09/2012 - 10:51am #693823
Meditated StatesParticipantI would be shocked if he was an all star but better than where he was drafted.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI like PJIII’s potential but Sully and Fab Melo might be better fits in Boston. The Celtics like toughness and could use some shot blocking and some more inside scoring. Sully and Fab Melo give the Celtics that. PJIII won’t really give them that. Sully is more polished at this point than Perry Jones too even if Jones has more upside.
A future lineup of Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Perry Jones, and Serge Ibaka has the most POTENTIAL. But, for that upside to be reached Durant and Perry Jones have to play together. Don’t they kind of duplicate each other’s games? Maybe Perry Jones is a little bigger though. Ibaka is another young, long, athletic beast but he isn’t a great inside scorer while Perry Jones is more of a perimeter scorer at this point.
If I am OKC though, the upside is worth the risks. I would tell Scott Brooks to play the Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Perry Jones, and Serge Ibaka lineup as much as possible. Hope that Ibaka continues to improve offensively, and KD adds a post game. Then let PJIII turn on the motor, hustle, and figure it out.
I think that Miami would have been interesting for PJIII because they are the defending champs, added Ray Allen, and can win again even without Perry Jones. But the Heat don’t use conventional lineups especially up front. They can bring him off the bench along with Udonis Haslem. Haslem can defend and rebound, which would allow PJIII to score, shoot, and run the floor. Perry Jones is not a center but he would still be the tallest Heat player. He is not a center but he can still block some shots. They use Bosh and Haslem at center anyway so he and Battier could fill in next to LeBron at either forward spot. LeBron, Bosh, Haslem, Battier, and Perry Jones would give the Heat the most versatile (if unorthodox) front line rotation in the league.
Then in 2/3 years after Ray Allen has basically moved on along with Mike Miller and Shane Battier, and when D Wade declines even more, Perry Jones could be a part of the younger core of LeBron, Bosh, and Mario Chalmers. LBJ, Bosh, and PJIII would be a great front line at that point.
OKC is a great fit for Perry Jones. They are a young team with a lot of athletic, explosive, talent. But, unless they can figure out a way for Jones to complement Kevin Durant (and Ibaka) then the Thunder won’t be able to realize their team’s and Perry Jones’ full potential.
