akhan786ParticipantSurprised no one has put a thread up yet. A couple observations thus far…
1. This game is MUCH better than the McDonald’s All American Game. Partly helped by the fact I can see the damn players
2. Chris Walker looks like a stud. And as a sidenote is he the most tatted player in the game? lol
3. Am I the only one who thinks Jabari looks hella chunky? I remember he kind of looked like that when he was younger so it makes me wonder if this will be a problem for him throughout his career because it seems like it is genetic.
4. Kennedy Meeks just looks like a funny m’fer…lol
No but seriously to the UNC fans on the forum, do you guys think he could develop into a Sean May type of player? He looks like he has nice hands and also is a great outlet passer. Hopefully he can get his weight down though.
5. This Joel Embiid kid looks like a player. Surprised not many schools were fighting over him.
6. I think I’m a Nigel Williams Goss fan now. Love kids that have the mental makeup he has.

lalailaParticipantbeen searching for a link almost for an hour..
except Chris Walker looks like i haven’t missed much, no one of the stars are playing like a star

akhan786ParticipantI think the reason why we haven’t seen the “stars” dominate so much this year in the All American games is because of the depth in this class.
There are just too many players that deserve to have touches for the stars to really put up 20+.

akhan786ParticipantAndrew Wiggins is such a freaking pogo stick.
I’m not usually impressed by kids who can jump high because a lot of kids can do that. What really sets the best athletes in the NBA from the rest is the ability to jump quickly off the floor especially on that second jump.
That’s what makes Wiggins’ potential so high.

AwardedBallerParticipantMy observations:
1) Jabari Parker is a very open-minded, intelligent and humble person. He has such a realistic perspective of life; very amazing coming from a high school basketball player who’s known all over the country. His athleticism is also very underrated.
2) If Julius Randle develops a jump shot, he’s going to be 10x the player he already is.
3) Nigel Williams-Goss has an amazing feel for the game, very nice PG coming in for Lorenzo Romar.
4) Kentucky has an extreme recruiting class coming in, although this was already obvious, The performance of the Twins, Dakari, Young and J Randle just added to that.
5) Harrison twins and Marcus Smart must have some type of relation, they look too much alike.

akhan786ParticipantJabari on what aspect on attending Duke has him most excited right now…
“The education. It is unbelievable there. You know as an African American male out of my community going to a prestigious university is real big time for me.”
How many high school kids let alone one of the best high school bball players in America would ever say something like this? The kid has also really taken it to heart too to represent Chicago well and has said he wants to get rid of the negative perception surrounding his community.
Breath of fresh air really.

lockdownDWiggins plays like a combo forward, at 6’7.
I think his ability to play SG are very slim, maybe on D, but his skills are better suited at the SF.
.
I wish he could grow like 2 more inches and so he would project as a SF/PF.0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/13/2013 - 4:02pm #762746
lalailaParticipantRandle is simple a monster!! And a very versitile monster lol

SoilworkerParticipantNigel Williams Goss was great, also Tyler Ennis.
Great class PG.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantTyler Ennis is a beast! reminds me of Kyrie without the crazy handle. Very under control and just a good PG.
But yeah Walker is coming into his own

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantAnd i loved what Jabari said. Very smart kid

theballerwayParticipantTroy Williams. I see he only got 9 mins but managed 8 points.

Toronto16ParticipantThe NBA has a bright future. Get rid of these ego driven ballers, and bring in some intelligent men.

Forte IVParticipantJabari is the next Chris Paul in terms of overall image off the court. Just can’t hate the guy.

another thing I noticed about Julius that his increased length from 2011 LBJ cam to 2012 might be true (measured 6’9 6’10 wingspan and 6’10 with 6’11 wingspan a year after)
Jabari is always listed 6’8 he actually has measured 6’8.5 and Julius standing next to him easily has an inch on, if not more..
