DipoTimeParticipantHow long will it take for him to get serious consideration as a prospect? His potential may not be quite as high as Robinsons (only because of athleticism) but I think he is the better player right now, and I honestly think his potential is pretty high.
He is averaging 18, 4, and 4 on the season. He’s shooting 49, 44, and 80. He’s roughly 6’6, 205, has put on a good amount of muscle in the last year or so. He has sneaky good athleticism and vision for someone who is often pegged as "just a shooter." And as far as his shooting goes, its amazing. He can shoot from absolutely anywhere on the floor.
If he leaves this year, I could see him going mid to late first. And if he stays and progresses, I could easily see him in the lottery.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThis guy can flat out shoot the ball. I think he can be anwhere from Klay Thompson to Kyle Korver

princejamesParticipantHe definitely has the potential to be a future first round pick. He’s plays with a very good combination of confidence and savvy, he’s surprisingly is a pretty good ball-handler and passer, he’s shows the potential to develop into an elite level shooter, and he’s a underrated athlete who shows deceptive jumping ability and quickness. He reminds me of Rex Chapmen and I think he has the potential to develop into a very good role player in the NBA

ChewyParticipantno matter how he plays in college, he will never move up into the lottery in any draft because of the defensive liability. I think he is a late first round pick.
Which is ok, because once he gets there, he has staying power because he has a clearly defined skill that NBA teams need.

ElPananderoParticipantI think a lot of teams are shying away from players who can do a little of everything and like drafting specialists (pure shooters, defenders, rebounders, etc.) espicially with later picks. I could see his shooting alone getting him drafted late ala Tim Hardaway, his role on the knicks is just a spot up shooter from the corner. And he was picked somewhere in the early twenties if i recall.

Sewok15ParticipantI saw him go between his legs for a jam already so his athleticism is definitely underrated. He can make some plays and we all know he is a lockdown shooter. He is a defensive liability but most shooters are and he is better than the average spot up shooter on defense. I can see him move up the draft some and he should get picked between 20 and 30.

GrandmamaParticipantHe is being considered a prospect. I can guarantee NBA teams will be giving him 2nd round consideration when he declares. I doubt he’ll ever go in the 1st. He will help some team as a 3-pt gunner off the bench.

phila9012ParticipantI see him as similar to marco belinelli. They both can shoot lights out, and create a little for themselves, and their teammates. They both are liabilities on defense. I think if you can get that in the mid to late first round you have to be happy. I think he will be a solid 7th or 8th man for 10 years, as a middle of the road prediction for him.

Jester87ParticipantI think he’s already getting some considerations, Chad Ford has him as a bubble first rounder/early second rounder and I saw many boards in which he’s in the 30-35 range. I like him a lot, but I don’t think he’s ready, he’s a great spot up shooter, has good ball handling skills and has shown a surprising ability to get to the rim this year (he’s attempting more than 6 FTs per game). He also has a nice pull up jumper and can score as a pick and roll ball handler. I think he still has to work on his off the ball game, I don’t know if it’s Michigan system but too many times I see him just waiting for the ball and I don’t remember him coming off of screens frequently. He can also put some work on his footwork on the perimeter, a guy like JJ Redick took great advantage working on the way he steps into his shot or he establishes his pivot foot.
I guess he can be a first rounder this year if he has strong performances in the tournament, but he’s likely to comeback if there’s too big a risk he goes into the second round. Right now I’d say he’s more likely to go in the early second, but shooting ability is too important in the Nba these days, he’s a smart player and even though is physical tools might expose him some on D, it’s not that difficult to hide a weak individual defender on the wing with Nba rules and defenses, unless he’s a complete liability and doesn’t even try. Anyhow, his athleticism is kinda underrated, he’s not really quick, but he’s worked a lot on his body and has improved his leaping ability. It’s probably risky for him to come back to college, because he’s putting up big numbers and it’s going to be hard to do better, but he still has things to improve in his game and he has tremendous work ethic (I mean, take a look at his clips on youtube and how he improved his game this summer), if he add those thing he can be a lock for the first round next year.

Jester87ParticipantCarroll wasn’t that good as a ball handler and driving. He also played from time to time with his back to the basket, had a decent turnaround jumper there. I think Stauskas is a better overall player.

redeyejediParticipantMore athletic Redick?
You can tell he put in a lot of work in the off-season; got overshadowed last year by all the other names on his team. Could be a good late first round steal for a smart, title contending team.0 - Posted on: Thu, 01/23/2014 - 10:30am #864496
